Andra Day performed "Lift Every Voice and Sing," known as the Black national anthem, ahead of Super Bowl LVIII and received a rousing ovation from the fans at Allegiant Stadium.
Day was tapped to sing the song last month as part of the NFL’s pregame festivities. Additionally, Reba McEntire sang the national anthem and Post Malone did "America the Beautiful."
As Super Bowl Sunday arrived and Day sang, NFL fans on social media hurled criticism for the league having the Black national anthem performed. It started early in the day and continued.

That song is not the black national anthem. Someone just decided to call it that. It’s a beautiful song that worships God and is not the slightest bit revolutionary. I wish everyone would just relax about this.

And then halftime presented by BLM.
You didn't love the diversity and inclusion of the performers?? /sarc off

I wish everyone would just relax about this. You are correct, it is a nice song. But, you say, it is not a national anthem and it is important to note that the wrong people are pushing it for the wrong reasons.
It is very much like the open borders for anyone on the globe and encouraging, facilitating and subsidizing their arrival - all for 'humanitarian purposes'. Much of that is done through religious organizations. In fact, it is clearly a political means of "remaking" our country.
See my tagline and google the sheriff for a better understanding.

Would someone please tell them that THEY are racists...and that "One Nation, Under God" is as inclusive as you can get.
This is their old school bible thumping.

Anyone interested in a ‘black national anthem can feel free to return to the shitholes their ancestors were rescued from.

I was disappointed they allowed that one white dancer in the halftime show. "Inclusion" but hardly "equity"

Did they take a knee during our National Anthem? None shown, but there were plenty of Kneelgroes who grabbed both of their shoulder pads rather than placing their hand over their heart.
Must be the "new kneeling".

I thought the anthem was called “randomly punch elderly people walking outside in the head as hard as you can”?

Don’t we need a homeless national anthem?
And an illegal immigrant national anthem?
And a women’s national anthem?
And a trans national anthem?
And an Asian national anthem?
And an indigenous people’s national anthem?
And a short people’s national anthem?
Did I miss any under-privileged groups? Please speak up! (And get in line.)
