For the first time, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has criticized former President Donald Trump for refusing to concede power following the 2020 election – in a generalized comment referencing events more than 200 years ago.
DeSantis, who condemned rioters inside the Capitol where he once served, but has said little about Trump's push to have courts and allies toss out the results, made remarks during an interview with Piers Morgan, where he also blasted Trump administration chaos.

overturn an electionThat's been the wrong phrase all along uttered by the dems/msm. Stop the Steal is the correct term. The "election" was not an election. It was fraud and theft, a crime.

Refusal to investigate the 2020 election and expose the truth about it, whatever that might be, is as dangerous and as corrupt as election fraud itself.

Eh. DeSantis seems to be “forcing” comparisons which are ill-suited for the points he is trying to make. I’ve read and heard what he said. President Trump’s actions or lack thereof are the focus for DeSantis. Bringing up Washington comes across as DeSantis liking the sound of his own voice.
He needs to connect with voters if he is going to run for President. Invoking Washington isn’t helpful to his message.

DeSantis had a great opportunity to condemn the Trump persecution and the political witch-hunt that persecutes Trump and the January 6th detainees and stay away from Trump sniping until Trump beats this rap. Instead, he is playing cheap politics and it will not help him.

Trump “SHOULD’VE” given up power after Jan. 6? WTF. He DID give up power. Rather, power was stolen from him.
Poor Ron. Committing political suicide forever when he was extremely viable for 2028. I hope he’s happy with his Bush/Ryan advisors.

Sounds like this “reporter” misrepresented Ron’s points. Read without the commentary, the talk was rather bland.

He did want to go to war against France, so there he’s a neocon. On the other hand, he wanted the Continental bonds issued during the war to be honored in the hands of the bearers, even if they were the dreaded speculators.
I’m not saying what America needs, but what DeSantis needs to do in his own interests. After being driven out of Washington by his detractors, Hamilton settled down to publishing the New York Post and slandering Aaron Burr in it until he challenged him to a duel. DeSantis should do the same. But I don’t think Aaron Burr will challenge him to a duel, no matter how hard he slanders him. But in the interim, he’s a good governor for Florida.

I don’t think the RINO cabal even cares whether DeSantis wins the presidency, just so long as he knocks Trump out of the primary.
I believe that is the case as well. I am now of the opinion that even if 2024 is rigged in the general due to ballot manipulation, that it is more important to keep the MAGA coalition together until we have a genuine two-party system again. In Canada, insurgent parties ramp up quickly, make a huge splash, as it is a parliamentary system, and then they reunite with the Tories, and then wind up being Tories again, like the insurgency never happened. The Tories wind up being embarrassed by social conservatives and patriotic populists and keep them on a short leash, until the next insurgency that falls short.
We have to have it out and chase the Romneys et al away. There will be some pretenders who stick around. Fine, as long as they stay in DEEP COVER, and get nothing more important than Senator, and always be ready to attack them if they get out of line. We will need ex-Democrats and the politically disaffected for this to happen. We will also have to put up with losing elections for a while, because the RINOs would rather the Dem win than one of us. We cannot let the fear of losing elections scare us into having saboteurs in our midst. We also have to be patient. This is a generational battle, and there is no guarantee we will have the numbers to pull it off as things now stand.

This from the Daily Mail. They are worse for making up stuff and sound like a National Enquire. I've come to the conclusion that you can't take anything put out by these left wing medias today even if it came notarized on their tongues. Their sole job is to divide, divide and spread hate.

Wow! Either DeSantis is really out of touch with the base, or he is parroting whatever his RINO establishment backers are telling him to preach. DeSantis has lost a ton of credibility with the stances (or lack of a stance) he has taken with regards to the treatment of Trump, the J6 prisoners, censorship tyranny, persecution/suppression of conservatives. His RINO establishment patrons are clueless, and I think they ruined his candidacy. DeSantis thinks that his conservative creds will give weight to his stance with conservative voters. I think he as seriously miscalculated.
They don't realize that it is not about Trump anymore - the election stealing. After two years a lot of conservatives are still upset that their votes were cancelled, their election was stolen by a guy they hid "under the lid". To dismiss the stolen election like DeSantis has done - bad move Ronnie boy!
This is not the only issue where DeSantis has failed. He had to be coaxed out after several days to make a statement about the manufactured case and fake prosecution by the Manhattan DA against Trump. His silence was deafening and a big conversation started around his silence - severe lack of leadership. Then he comes out with a statement and makes it about Trump again. The same character has been displayed by him with the Mar-a-lago raid, the withholding of evidence from J6 prisoners, manufactured cases, prosecutorial misconduct e.t.c.
Its not about Trump that much Ronnie! He is just a symbol. You dismissed millions of conservatives. Your corrupt RINO backers are clueless and so are you. You have not done well for your candidacy, even before you left the gate.

Notice who is absent from this thread: Drew68 and theFactorSorry bro, I can't keep up with every DeSantis thread. Since you're following me around, I'm sure you'll notice I'm not posting quite as much as I used to. Things at work picked up.
Rest assured, I'm with DeSantis until he's out of the race. He's going to have to screw up monumentally before he makes Trump look like the better candidate.

Has DeSantis spoken about the J6 prisoners?
The fundamental Constitutional and political issues with the J6 prisoners are a million times more important than what happens to Trump.

That day will come.
