Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov argued on Thursday that Russia's latest attacks against Ukraine's power grid weren't aimed at the civilian population, urging Kiev to "end the suffering" of its people by accepting Moscow's terms to end the war. Russia's requests for ending the attacks include Ukraine proclaiming political and military neutrality, recognizing Crimea as Russian territory and granting independence to Donetsk and Lugansk.

Despite millions of Ukrainians currently without power across the country, Peskov told reporters that Russia's military pays "special attention to avoid striking social targets... As for targets that are directly or indirectly related to military potential, they are accordingly subject to strikes," he concluded.

I congratulate you on the observation that none of those standing on some self-piled moral high ground are trying to "mediate."

I disagree with your conclusion that in the end the global elite will have won. Watching the economic devastation as sanctions eat away at Europe's businesses, I suspect another path will be followed. Rebellions of one form or another, which will ever more distrust any "elite." It is a matter of time, and in this the mainstream media is doing its best to not report the various small rebellions forming in Europe. We read some European press in those languages, and it is fascinating how our American press just can't find any "news" in what is obvious and ongoing news. Best wishes.

Zelly, initially, was negotiating peace with no internal criticism, then the DC gang got involved. What you say would happen to Zelly would surely happen to Putin if he is defeated by NATO and loses the “new territories”. It’s peace with today’s status quo or WWIII.
