As you said, Putin’s ego will not allow stopping misery of Ukrainian people . Which then leads me to conclude, either Ukraine agree to Putin’s terms for ceasefire, or continue causing more suffering for Ukrainian people.

It did not matter to Russia what France and Germany thought. The fact that Zelensky was pushing for NATO membership was enough to attack Ukraine.
Obviously it did not matter to them because they did not care whether Ukraine would join NATO. However, since joining NATO was impossible, that makes their lies more clear.

Bullies have been winning on earth since Adam & Eve. Every war was won by the stronger party, and spoils of war belonged to the victor. USA is the only exception. We fought foreign wars with borrowed money and gained nothing except more national debt. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine...same story repeated. WHen will Americans learn? Learn the real world, and stop living in a Utopian world.

Using that to justify the invasion is pathetic.
You’re just saying that because it’s true.
What does it matter if it was lies or the truth. Result is the Ukrainian people are suffering like crazy.
Think logically. If the accusation is: "Russia invaded because Ukraine was going to join NATO," but that was impossible, then that means that was not the reason why Russia invaded Ukraine.
So when anyone makes that claim on this forum, it is simply false.
Obviously it is important to Putinists since they continue to repeat it.

We shouldn’t have fought WWII. We shouldn’t have opposed Communism. We shouldn’t have fought terrorists. Just let the bully win.
I’m not living in a Utopia. I recognize that sometime bullies do win. But we don’t have to SURRENDER to their every demand. That’s just pathetic. Stop begging for dystopia. Because that’s what you’re pushing. Give every bully everything they want to avoid suffering. Forgetting entirely that suffering is really what bullies want and they don’t stop just because you surrendered. The school bully didn’t stop beating you up for your lunch money because you gave it to him Monday. Once you gave it to him Monday he knew he could get it from you Tuesday. And Wednesday. And every other day. He doesn’t want the money. He wants to beat you up, to feel strong. Eventually you’ve got to fight him. That’s the only way it ever stops.
You live in a country which is in dent to it’s eyeballs. The US Treasury will soon paying out TRILLION dollars every year in interest payments due to interest rates going up. You live essentially in a bankrupt country but you still want to fight more foreign wars with MORE BORROWED MONEY? DO you realize how stupid that is?
I think Russia intended and expected to crack a few eggs and take the Ukraine intact. Now they just want to keep what they've taken, lick wounds for a few years, and then come back for more.
To say nothing of Willie Brown’s holster shooting her mouth off about EUkraine’s NATO membership at München in February...
