The House Democrat’s campaign chief, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY), tweeted on Monday night abortion will “now” become the “central choice” in the November midterms after Politico leaked a draft of a Supreme Court opinion that would overrule Roe v. Wade.
“Republicans just gutted Roe v Wade, the Constitution’s guarantee of reproductive freedom, and will ban abortion in all 50 states if they take over Congress,” Maloney tweeted. “Only Democrats will protect our freedoms. That is now the central choice in the 2022 election.”

Desperate Democrats seem to not understand that when they promote murder of unborn Democrats that they ultimately drain their pool of Democratic voters. Pro murder of unborn Democrats is on the short list of perfect examples of social Darwinism at work imo.
The problem for democrats is Abortion is one of the issues where certain people feel very strongly, but the ~20% who strongly support abortion where always going to vote democrat anyway and the ~20% who strongly oppose abortion were always going to vote Republican. The other 60% may have an opinion one way or the other, but they simply don’t feel strongly enough about Abortion for it to influence their votes, especially with things like the bad economy and inflation.
Even if it’s true I don’t see how voting would help them since it was a Supreme Court decision. The states would then have to vote on its stance on abortions anyway
The actual opinions will be coming out in a couple months, so they had to act now. As to the premise of the article, leftists way over-value abortion as a defining issue. The days of manning the pro choice barricades are long gone for the vast majority of voters. Most of them were not even born when Roe was decided, and as we know, they tend to think history began when they were born. The noisy minority will persist, egged on by ignoramuses in the media and corrupt rat politicians. But way more people will be focused on inflation and the coming recession, and the gathering tidal wave of aliens at the southern border.
CREATED!!! like a BABY...
I don’t think much will change. Blue states will leave abortion rights alone. Some red states may ban it all together. Many red states will only implement restrictions. Come November, there will not be a nationwide perception that there’s really anything different.
Giving the people a voice is Freedom.
Sadly no, we could go full Zimbabwe and it won't matter, as long as the Dems promise free unrestricted abortions than the suburban Karens will vote for them.
So why leak so soon? Would’ve been better to wait.
I just don’t think enough people care anymore. Not when gas is $4 a gallon and peanut butter is up 25%. I doubt this drives people to the polls for Dems.
Yet another issue where the Kool-aid drinkers who are already voting dimocrat no matter if a dead person ran (he did) are way more passionate about than the average joe, who is seeing his life’s savings evaporate in the Biden economy.
Yep.
This doesn’t get said enough. If you listen to the three letter networks you’d think ALL abortion everywhere for any reason stops immediately if/when this ruling comes out.
They want to pack the court
As a side note to this thread, abortion issue may be an attempt to distract from Dinesh D’Souza “2000 Mules.”
Insights welcome.
The elites care about infanticide far more than common people. The love for the practice peaked among boomer women. They think they can pull the abortion rabbit out of their hat and make people forget the Democrat trainwreck. Lots of luck with that.
If they can pack the court just to insure they always win, the country is done and civil disobedience has to start.
They need to use this issue to fundraise.
In the end it’s all about the money.
*** will ban abortion in all 50 states if they take over Congress***
Utter bovine excrement. This will never happen. All 50 states? Lol.
