Oddly enough, no mention of encouraging racism against white folk via crt propaganda.
For the dumbasses at the Salvation Army: To meet your “woke” criteria invoked this year: I didn’t provide any money or toys this year because I didn’t want to foist my “white privilege” on those less fortunate non-whites. Sorry. [This should both meet your dumbassed “acknowledge my whiteness” and “apologize for it” wokeness criteria; good luck in the coming years.]
There is always Toys for Tots.
Or any number of Veteran organizations.
Ha!!!!!!
I know my monthly donation went to zero.
Get woke, go broke.
And the Left destroys another formerly venerated institution.
Add it to the list with the major christian denominations, the Scouts, major league sports, on and on.
They at least have the Virtue Soapbox benefits.
I’m too white to donate to the SA this year. They made it clear my participation is not wanted.
Every year my wife would write two $100 checks to the Salvation Army. Not this year, that money went to tornado relief. I seriously doubt we will trouble them again with our white racist donations. Come to think of it, rural Western Kentucky is pretty white. Must be the racist in me and their white privilege.
Cry me a river.
You made your bed.
Now lay in it................
Get WOKE, go broke.
Go woke, go broke. I’m done with the Salvation Army now that I’m aware of its International Social Justice Commission. That’s the body that promoted that controversial “Let’s Talk About Racism” screed about white guilt, that was hastily scrubbed from its web site. The term “social justice” is nothing more than code for whites are bad and capitalism is evil.
Get Woke, Go Broke!
.
Interesting.
Yep, the SA made their bed now they have to lie in it. FYI, I donate to St Vincent DePaul in my town. They run a large food pantry here and they also use cash donations to help the poor with rent and other necessities.
That may not be the only reason. Remember this story is headlined from Seattle where most probably are on board with the Salvation Army using material from CRT advocated in their training. More likely donations are down because people do not have as much discretionary income as they have had in years past. There is also the competition from other charities which may be seen as being friendlier to LGBTQWTH.
I used to participate in the Angel Tree program when I was working. I stopped when the requests went from simple ones such as a set of Hot Wheel cars to eye popping ones such as a brand new Playstation.
Over the course of my career I’ve seen more SA volunteers and red kettles in midtown Manhattan than anywhere else in the country. Even without the CRT fiasco I’m sure the Salvation Army would be seeing a drop in contributions just from all the Americans in urban areas who have been working from him for most of the last two years.
I dumped them!
Use as necessary...
Get woke, go broke.
Our local police department are gathering new unwrapped toys for those in our community that need a little help this Christmas. I bought $200 worth of toys and donated them to them.
I stopped giving to United Way years ago when I discovered how leftest they were and although I am not a regular donator to the SA I will never donate in the future.
There was absolutely no need for the SA to enter into discussions on race and yet they did so now they must own it.
Over a hundred years of goodwill down the drain in only a few weeks.
The only way for them to recover is to fire their entire board and put up commercials and send letters with a sincere apology and admission that they were wrong.
