A police officer in Virginia has been fired after pointing a gun at, and pepper spraying, a black US army lieutenant during a traffic stop.
Army Second Lieutenant Caron Nazario is wearing his uniform in bodycam footage of the incident, filmed in December.

billegirl14, it is obvious that if you were ever in the service, you were a punk.
Since when did second lt become the laughing stock?
You've been watching too many war movies.
Those cops were never in danger, they wanted to show this guy that they had bigger balls.
Both guns drawn, and the guys hands were out of the window, in plain sight.
You are a putz.
Also a violation of FR protocol.
You left out the part where the police approached the car with guns drawn. Not necessary for a routine traffic stop.
>< The driver knew exactly what he was doing. <
I don’t think so. Both cops had their guns drawn. Why would the driver risk being shot just for the chance to sue the city? But it is possible! If so, the cop fell for it. And the cop was supposed to be the professional on the scene.
“I landed on “Go Wild” “
Half here demand the soldier “Go directly to jail. Do not collect $200.”.
The other half hope he winds up “Owning Park Avenue and all the Hotels”.
Personally, I’m glad another black man didn’t die...especially a soldier.
Tinted windows (of Nazario) didn’t help for cops to relax either.
Read the post above yours, his seatbelt was on and he didn’t want to get shot.
I’m glad they fired the guy. This looked like pulling a guy over for “driving while black”. They did not appear to have probable cause to stop him in the first place. At some point when the cops saw the guy the fat one probably said “let’s pull him over for not having a plate”. The other guy probably said “look, he’s got a temporary one”, but the asshole probably said “that’s not clear enough for me!”. He will regret pulling over an army officer when he had no cause.
Some tints are actually illegal.
With a stop for no reason and guns pointed at him for no reason, and his hands and arms stuck well out of the car for the cops.
Cops were just being tremendous and dangerous a-holes.
Those watching the selectively edited CNN clip think the cop was bad. Those watching the entire thing on even the noob 2nd Lt’s set up camera know the obvious...tge cop was a friendly veteran himself and a good guy. Politicians jumped the gun again. I hope he sues CNN andthe boss. The soldier needs to be drummed out or names as top general of the joint chiefs SJW army.
You folks are duped again by tge media...watch Tatum
I don’t think the driver was confused. He knew exactly what he was doing. He calmly repeated “What’s going on?” over and over again in order to provoke a reaction from the cop and capture it on video.
A dollar to a donut this POS was an Army Affirmative Action hire.
You mean like: “HANDS OUT THE WINDOW !!!” followed by “TURN OFF THE VEHICLE !!!”
Yelled by cop 1 in that order...
That's what I was expecting when I watched the video. But the lieutenant didn't even crack a window when the officers approached. Why the hell not? How are they supposed to explain what's going on?
He sits there like a rock. They get pissed and tell him to put his hands out the car window. He won't do that, either. His refuses for minutes. Why? Especially after the sneak-ass cop-killing with the AR in NM the other day, I would have been wondering what was up as well. Then they tell him to get out of the car--and he wouldn't do that! Why the hell not? Did he think he was special, and that stalling as if he's drunk or up to something isn't going to make things worse?
He was acting the whole time, including when he finally opened his mouth, like a snowflake jackass, and the language in his lawsuit reinforces that impression.
At night, it's just not unreasonable to think that someone who doesn't cooperate in any way is dangerous. I have to say it was an obvious "good spray."
The 'officer' told him "you should be afraid" to get out of his car makes the refusal more than justified. If his hand would have gone to his side to release the seatbelt he would have been a dead man and the officer tacitly enforced that with his statement.
We know well how the media spins things...
Suggest you watch this cops review of the tapes...

Yup. Those cops issued a bunch of conflicting commands.
Windsor Rte. 58 and 460 is and are major through fare for traffic going to Petersburg, NewPort News, Suffolk, and Franklin. Lots of State Troopers hang in Windsor and along Rte. 58. Windsor has serious speed enforcement because of such traffic. Them Windsor cops hardly cut any slack when it comes to how much over the speed limit they will give you...most won’t give you dink, and in my case, the officer in question busted me for 3 miles over posted speedlimit (35mph), and when it went to court, which I opted for instead of paying the ticket off, the Judge threw it out. I was mad as hell at that Officer. Unless I have to go through Windsor, I avoid it by going another couple ways around Windsor.
FFS, I just watched the video and all the Lt. had to do was get out of the freaking car per LE instructions. He was lippy and argumentative instead. I don’t blame the cops for their actions.
“...I’ve never seen one loaded up like the officer in the photo.”
It’s a long shift. Those pockets contained Chubby’s lunch and assorted snacks. That’s why he had trouble finding the pepper-spray canister initially.
“Nope, that’s my Twinkies. Nope, BBQ chips. No, my tuna salad sandwich. Ah, here it is.”
“Now step out of the vehicle sir or I’ll pepper-spray your dog!”
