Zogby: ‘Poor performances’ of Democrats boost Trump’s approval to 51%, up with blacks and Hispanics

President Trump’s approval rating has edged up, driven by long-term confidence in his economy and boosted by the lackluster performances of the two dozen Democrats trying to beat him in the 2020 election, according to the latest Zogby Analytics poll.

The contrarian survey, provided exclusively to Secrets, pushes back on some other recent polls showing a surge in Trump’s disapproval rating.

Namely, it found that recent issues portrayed as trouble for Trump haven’t hurt him and that he is growing in support among Africans Americans, Hispanics, independents, and younger voters.

“President Trump's job approval has continued to rise the last few months,” said pollster Jonathan Zogby in his analysis of likely voters.

“It's true Trump is riding high on positive economic news,” he said.

But, he added, “It's also very plausible he is benefiting from poor performances by the Democratic presidential candidates who have continued to move very far to the left with their policies. The Democrats have floated nationalizing healthcare, strict gun control, ‘The Green New Deal,’ and raising taxes, all which are very unpopular in polling on a national level and in key battleground states.”

Overall, Trump’s approval rating is 51%, and disapproval 47%. Among those who approve, 27% said “strongly” and 24% “somewhat approve.” The largest group, however, was those who “strongly disapprove,” at a sky high 37%. Another 10% said that they “somewhat disapprove.”

As the country continues to divide over the 2020 race and Trump’s policies and agenda, the president is benefiting from a very strong GOP approval rating, said Zogby, a sign that he has not lost his base. And he’s gaining among independents.

“An overwhelming number of Republicans approved (86% approve/13% disapprove), while independents were more balanced in their impression of Trump's job performance (45% approve/50% disapprove). The president's numbers continue to improve with independents, which a few months ago his approval rating was in the 30's,” said the analysis.

And he is picking up support among two groups that the media has pitted against the president: blacks and Hispanics. Here’s what Zogby wrote in his analysis:

“Race also played a factor in Trump's job approval rating. Hispanics, this time around, were much more likely to approve of his job performance (49% approve/51% disapprove), while the president also saw his numbers jump with African Americans. This was his second straight poll with over a quarter support from African Americans (28% approve/70% disapprove). If Trump wins half of Hispanics and a quarter of African Americans in 2020, Democrats will be in trouble!”

Zogby said that older millennial voters approve of Trump, and a growing number of younger voters too.

However, he continues to have trouble with suburban women, a pocket the media has described as his albatross. “The one important group Trump continues to see his support wane was with suburban women (38% approve/57% disapprove). This is an important group for him if he is going to win again in the ‘blue wall’ states he won in 2016. The blow of losing support from suburban women was blunted with his gains with urban women--46% approve/53% disapprove and urban men (56% approve/43% disapprove),” said Zogby.

His bottom line in his analysis:

Trump's job approval rating is tied for the highest we have on record. His numbers are being driven by record low unemployment and an inflated stock market, but a potential recession looms. Besides a good economy, Trump's good approval rating is being driven by a surge in popularity among voters living in the South and Central regions, independents, millennials, suburban men, urban men, and older voters. Trump's approval rating has improved with minorities: 28% of African Americans and 49% of Hispanics at least somewhat approve of the president. Both are very good numbers, historically, for Trump. Trump's support has spiked among consumers, mainly NASCAR fans and weekly Walmart and Amazon shoppers. A solid majority of each group gives the president a positive job rating. Trump has recently seen a spike in support among large and small city voters — more than half of each group approves of the president. Trump is also polling well among urban women, but has seen his support from suburban women take a beating. Religious voters are key to Trump winning in 2020. They make up a big part of the electorate and have a big presence in battleground states. Right now the president is polling very well with Catholics, Protestants, and evangelicals.

This is the first non-Rasmussen poll I’ve seen that has his approval at 50% or higher. I guess media is ignoring this rather than sabotaging it.

Zogby used to be the zen-master of polls a decade ago. Had some bad numbers though and fell off the A list.

It is one thing for business cycles to occur with slowdowns due to supply vs demand, changes in profitability and all those things that are extant when recessions start. It is another thing for the business elites and the financial institutions to deliberately damage a nation, it’s people and it’s governing institutions by forcing those conditions artificially in the name of some supranational philosophy or to force/manipulate emotionally a body politic into the arms of “elite preferred” politicians the body politic would otherwise abhor!. Such forced dumping of the economy could be considered an act of war and should be treated as such!

[[[These past few weeks since the implosion of the Mueller fiasco have seen a large shift in strategy to push “Trump is a White Supremacist” as the #1 vector of attack. It seems pretty clear that strategy is failing hard.]]]

The Democrats internal polling must be catastrophic. This is the primary reason for the fever pitch of insanity on the left. They have no ideas just accusations, name calling and buzzwords now. Look for it to continue. They have nothing. Even many Democrats don’t want what they are selling especially in the area of healthcare. Your typical Democrat public employee union retirees don’t want anybody touching their healthcare bennies.

“forced dumping of the economy could be considered an act of war and should be treated as such!”

And it seems they’re projecting that they’re considering this, or similar. When the Rat Propaganda Machine openly cheers for the economy to fail just to hurt Trump, you KNOW it could happen.

It seems the Federal Reserve might be willing to be complicit. Yet another coup attempt.

Very well thought out and true.

“For all their painting Trump as a racist, he grew up in NYC and has worked with all types, including all races, in the City to the point where he as a genuine and easy understanding and rapport with other races—unlike many Republicans.”

...and NO ONE ever claimed he was a racist until he started his run for the White House.

NEVER FORGET who our opposition is, and if anyone here knows any elected politicians, PLEASE explain my above sentence to them - they have to get out of their ‘trusting the media’ mode, or we WILL lose this country.

So I repeat: Trump was NOT a racist UNTIL he started his run for the White House.

It’s over and so far failed.

The rate inversion canard is beyond the ken of 96% of Americns and is predictive 2 years hence. If not understood, it is not believed.

Only with envy, on with envy. Red faced as they fall off the proverbial cliff. To hell with Kaliforniastan. Let them break off and float out about 500 miles, tip over and sink to the bottom of the Pacific. Who cares? I don’t. To hell with the entire left coast. My 15 years in WA state was enough for me. Never again. I will stay right here in Alabama. Don’t give a heaping big D if I ever leave the state again. To hell with all the liberals and the states they control through free give aways. Let them rot. I don’t care. They seek to destroy the Republic and turn it into the Soviet Union - West. The SU-East failed, so will this one if they ever get full control. The day the commies take full control of this nation, THAT is the day the 2d revolution starts and Americans will one day start killing each other as we did during the War of Northern Aggression. Americans killing Americans, all over Freedom or free stuff. They are coming for our guns. That is the only way they can rule us. Their packing the Supremes is their goal now. That is their aim. That is what they will try next, along with destroying the Electoral College. Those two are their ruling agenda. Get those two and they win. Simple as that.

“INTENTIONALLY CREATE A RECESSION”

China and Europe are clearly hurting from the trade war, while non-Democrat run America is surging.

The left, (with lots of help from Silicon Valley and the Chinese Water Army) is trying to drive down consumer confidence.

“YESTERDAY WAS A TRIAL RUN.........”

That’s what Rush was saying today. I was wondering about that yesterday, but thought, “Naaahh. Couldn’t be.” Maybe it could be. They are going to do SOMETHING; we know that.“

Yesterday had largely NOTHING to do with the US Economy.
It was China unrest in Hong Kong and threat of a Bank Run, Deutschbank, Argentina, and European economic worries.

“The Democrats internal polling must be catastrophic.”

At least in this state. Neighbor works for the state Dems. Outside of the gay bars and TV stations, it his hard to find anyone openly supporting Democrats, if they are the leadt bit informed.

Which is the problem, most “Normal” people are tuning all of this out, right now. They won’t start paying attention until spring.

Charles Payne of Fox Business said that the inverted yield curve was the result of world economic distress rather than anything American. He is one of my trusted people.

There are bad signals from Europe and from China where there is 0 return on invested funds. In Europe, a negative return. In China, there is fear.

As a result, money is literally pouring into American Treasuries driving the yield down rapidly.

If I interpret what he said correctly, the current budget deficit will be payed in some large measure by the Chinks and Eurotrash. I*n essence, free Money. Then Freed Money for other things for us.

Not possible.”

How much would it take for Soros, the media and others to tank the market?

Heard this poll mentioned by Rush this morning, though he didn’t spend much time on it. Polls, especially this far out from election day, aren’t reliable indicators of potential election outcomes. But, for today, this one is making me happy.

Without a doubt, they’ll do something evil.
Perhaps they’ll turn 1000 or so of their favorite MK ULTRA “wind-up toy” zombies loose all at once.
Stay armed and stay alert.

Exactly!
Arrested, shipped to GITMO to face military tribunals, and IF found guilty...a firing squad or hanging. Their choice.

I just paid $2.02 a gallon for gas today. (Huge drop this past month) The “failing economy jitters” are highly overrated & unfounded, IMO.
