Senator Ted Cruz: Why Democrats May Sweep the 2020 Elections
San Angelo Live ^ | Jun. 12, 2019 11:06 am | Joe Hyde

“I’m worried about 2020, I think it’s 50-50. I think it’s a coin flip,” said Ted Cruz, the Republican U.S. Senator from Texas. The 2020 presidential race happens when the country is “deeply divided.” “It is an incredibly polarized country,” he said. “I think it all comes down to turnout.”

“I think the Left is going to show up in massive numbers,” he continued. “And it all comes down to who shows up on the center-right.”

Ted Cruz was on the Ben Shapiro Show Sunday when, 45-minutes into the interview, Shapiro asked Cruz for his assessment of the 2020 election cycle. That is when Cruz warned that the Democrats could sweep both houses of congress and win the presidency. Then they will proceed to perform great harm to the country, he said. […]

“I think the Democrats will nominate someone from the far left,” Cruz predicted. He said one of four declared candidates, between Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Robert “Beto” O’Rourke, or Elizabeth Warren, will win the Democrat Party nomination to run for president. He gave an outside chance that Pete Buttigieg could emerge in the final four. “He’s stolen some of Beto’s thunder,” he said. […]

“…Every Leftist is going to show up at the polls and they will crawl over broken glass to get there. They hate Donald Trump with a white-hot passion. You’re going to see Democrats in areas where you didn’t know there were any Democrats. They’re going to crawl out of the woodwork,” he said. …

What is needed is more talk about voter fraud, not silence.

Talking about voter fraud does squat. People have been talking about it since I was a kid, and Kennedy 'beat' Nixon (courtesy of the graveyard votes in Chicago). Bush II had a chance to address the issue after the 2000 'hanging chad' election, and did nothing. D@mocrats support voter fraud, and most Republicans 'go along to get along', so nothing has changed (or is likely to change) in DC. The most practical approach currently seems to be reform via legislation at the State level...

What I’m saying is that politicians who do not talk about it are burying the issue. And it is still fresh in my memory how Trump got zero support for his vote fraud commission.

There’s a reason why the term “Uniparty” was coined—the GOP-e is not “go along to get along” at all, but in full collaboration and “fellow travelers” with the openly-left Democrats.

And if “(t)alking about voter fraud does squat”, what does silence do? The amount of talk is minuscule.

And by referring to the 2000 election in Florida, I hope you are not seriously suggesting that Gore ought to have won.

Short of a civil war, the only thing that will save this country, if possible will be the Governors of states in the Southeast, Midwest and Mountain states. They can get together and just say, NO. Nothing more. NO. We’re not going to disarm our citizens, we’re not going to raise our taxes for your socialist fantasies and we’re not letting the 3rd world in here anymore. Even in states like Washington, Oregon, Colorado, that are ran by insane liberals, those policies are dependent on the population densities in their big cities. Get out of those cities and it’s a different ballgame. Hell, damn near every state in the country is like that to include California, Illinois, NY.

What will the federal government do then? Will they call on the military? Will they try to call on the police? Will they call on the National Guard? A very significant portion of the groups I just mentioned are aligned with you and me. And lets not forget about the millions of veterans that are going about their business.

No easy answers, but, IMHO, the answers lie in the Governors offices/mansions of every state in the country, except for the coastal ones and a small handful of ones in the Midwest: Chicago & Detroit, for the most part. All big cities have, save a few, have become liberal havens. That’s where they congregate because that’s where all the services are and they can’t fend for themselves.

So you are, or are not a former Cruzer?

It’s really kind of difficult to tell, don’t be shy!

Dude, he charged his supporters for campaign signs and didn’t seriously start campaigning until about a month before the election. Cruz can damn well be held responsible for that and his other campaign screw ups.

Allow me to repeat myself:

"Bush II had a chance to address the issue after the 2000 'hanging chad' election, and did nothing.

Please reread that a time or two. (Just as a friendly reminder, the "issue" we were discussing was D@mocrat vote fraud.) If you think my statement 'suggests' in any way that "Gore ought to have won," please get back to me (and start looking for a remedial reading class)...

The way that read to me at first glance, it sounds like Bush won because of the recount debacle rather than otherwise. Sorry if I misunderstood.

Besides, Bush is well known for being quite the RINO, so expecting him to act on fraud is like expecting him to not grow government (which he did in ways that make Democrats seem “centrist” at best). A mention of Bush now begs the question as to a comparison between him and Cruz on this issue I raised.

I think Cruz is taking his none too comfortable win over Beto as an indicator of democrat strength. I think it was an indicator of Cruz’s relative unpopularity when compared to somebody like Gov. Abbott who ran in the same statewide election in 2018 and won big.

At this point I fear that the states won’t do any of what you describe unless and until We the People begin to rise in a way that they take seriously enough to become frightened. They will be slow to see the writing on the wall because we have been backing up for 60 years.

He's right. The far left will be at their kooky peak from now until the election.

The good guys need to match and exceed their fervor.

Oh well, if he charged for campaign signs and was unserious…

Evidently he was serious enough to win.

You make a great point. Time will tell. There will be violence next November. If he can overcome the voter fraud and stay in the White House, hopefully, the Left will burn the country to the ground. Pure and simple. It will only take one Governor. Just one.

We gotta do more than just out vote the cheaters!

We MUST expose and incarcerate them!

We HAVE TO HAVE poll watchers and aggressive Republicans who challenge the illegal voters and votes!

Enough were kept away to keep her out of office, and that’s what needs to be kept up.

In Wisconsin in April, we had a judicial election to State Supreme Court. Conventional wisdom favored the prog. The conservative candidate won without any real assistance (or advertising) from the state GOP. I don’t recall even discussing it with anyone except my husband. Conservatives keep informed. They then make informed decisions. They keep it to themselves and then go vote.

Note that the same thing happened in Florida in the Governorship race.

Ted himself was _supposed_ to lose his seat to Beto.

In the past 3 years, we have seen widely publicized stats and stories concerning WalkAways from the D party, blacks leaving the D plantation and Hispanics supporting Trump. The man who organized WalkAway is openly gay. Candace Owens is organizing young black conservatives. I haven’t seen any evidence of Hispanics being organized, so perhaps they are responding to common sense and acting in their own self interest all by themselves.

In the same time period, we have seen a rise in young people disaffected from the progs by the constant barrage of PC propaganda from the SJWs. We have Soph and there is a young black boy (don’t recall his name)and even an eight-year-old girl doing AOC parodies. They all have an audience.

I’m not preaching complacency. But the facts on the ground (coupled with deportations and a tightened border) make the broken-glass conservatives a force to be reckoned with, too.

More and more precincts are switching to voting machines with a paper record. Here in WI, we have Voter ID and my precinct has voting machines with a paper record. I check my vote and note the number. I also have a voter sign-in number to correlate with.

17 states have photo Voter ID. Another 18 have ID that does not need to have a photo. Some photo ID states also have signature-matching requirements. That is as of April, 2019.

Abrams, Gillum and Beto had lots of money, supposed captive demographics, tons of media propaganda and....THEY LOST.

‘That election and 2016 guaranteed for me that God is in charge in this country.’

why would a deity, alleged to have created all life, including all political parties and adherents, care which one of them wins...in fact, should you wish to take that tack, one could say say divinity favors democrats, who have won the last five presidential popular votes...
