Former Vice President Joe Biden said Friday that he knew a month before the 2016 election that Hillary Clinton would lose key battleground states.
Biden made the comment during a closed-door appearance with Mitt Romney at the annual Romney-hosted E2 Summit, reports Politico.
Based on his assessment of campaigning in those key battleground states, he said, he knew a month before the election that Clinton would lose them.
Biden also stepped on Hillary just last month, saying he never thought she was a great candidate during a conference in Las Vegas.

Are his statements in the fall of 2016 consistent with his memory in June 2017?

If I can put on my tinfoil hat, I think the powers that be told Biden not to run. Whether they threatened to expose something dirty in his background, or simply physically threatened him or his family, I think he made the choice to sit it out.
So this statement is a little bit of payback. Not much. But enough of a FU to those that "encouraged" him not to run.
He is a Dem pol. But as Dem pols go, we certainly could have done worse had he been elected.

Clinton had the endorsements. She had a machine, and money, and supporters left over from her last run.
Beating her would have meant a major fight and after his son died, Biden didn't think he could make that fight.
Could Biden have won? Not if he had the same staffers as Hillary did. They would have made the same mistakes.
If you figure that he would have had different staffers who would have been more grounded, maybe he could have won.

Meeting with Romney.
Were they discussing why “their choice” lost?
So we now know what we previously assumed.
Romney is a total POS.

Biden was VP as a foil. He was and is not part of the Progressive core. He is regarded as a silly old man who has his uses but must not be given power.

If Biden had run and If Trump had not it would indicate that trump thought Biden would win. Trump would likely have been right. Conversely, if Trump had run and Biden was running then Trump would have calculated that Biden would not win and Trump would have been right.

Lucas Electric in Britain had intermittent windshield wipers decades before anyone else. I must admit that the concept of intermittent windshield wipers seems to me to be just barely north of "non-obvious," if that.
But Kearns made his case, stuck to his guns, and came out a winner. Of course, he lost a lot too, including a wife, apparently.

He’s been caught on camera inappropriately touching children. They should be investigating him, but he’s apparently part of the above-the-law class.
