I have completed exhaustive analysis of the disputed Trump crowd shot and the CNN gigapixel crowd shot. As much as it pains me to say, the two images match quite well and the disputed crowd shot is legitimate and represents the actual crowd size. There was no deception on the part of the media.
I have four decades of experience as an advertising photographer. I am qualified to make this kind of analysis.
As a Trump supporter and voter I think it does us a great disservice to not deal honestly with issues such as these. In this case even the President and his staff have it wrong, and it hurts all of us.
Thanks for that correction. What I dont get is how people can look at that crowd and even think to make a story out of the difference in crowd size. Like the MLK bust story, they were looking to make him look bad, and on something that should not even be worth a mention compared to all else going on that day.
So, does size matter? I’ve been told yes and I’ve been told no. I just don’t know and I really, really want to know. Can someone please help me? I toss and I turn and I can’t sleep. I’m so confused. Help me.
I watched on CSPAN.
I saw the photo from the Washington Memorial end. The mall was packed.
My bet is, Trump has the appropriate photo....you don’t.
Yes, this will be non-news very soon, maybe as soon as tomorrow. Once again, we are playing on the liberal's home field. To them, Obama having a bigger crowd than Trump means he was a great president (even though they can't articulate why they think he was great). And of course, Trump is a loser for not having as big a crowd (according to liberals). That's about as deep as the argument goes - it is meaningless.
LOL media is so busted all of the time.
Sounds like Photoguy isn’t really a photo guy.
Don’t know why those links aren’t live - they do work but you have to copy and paste. (Don’t forget to scroll down to post #24 in the FR thread)
That is not the shot the NYt and FOX were using. They were using one an hour before these shots and claiming 250K attendance. That is what Trump was arguing.
There is a screen capped tweet of that pic with mostly empty white tarp showing time stamped. anything else? it was taken and tweeted out earlier then when more people filtered in, as you can see by the other pics posted, all that white area was filled.
I was watching this on TV starting at about 6:30am CST on Fox and the pic being shown as Trump’s looks just like the one I saw at about 7:00am. The commentator was saying “It looks like the crowd is starting to gather and there are many mingling around as they search for a good spot”. Now I wish I had recorded it. The MSM is so dishonest.
Actually, I believe the numbers for Obola 1 was 37 million. Neilson said Trumps were 31 million.
Another issue is that, like it or not, Obolas was special for this country, in that he was the first black president. That in and of itself is historical, and going to draw larger numbers. Just look at the decline of numbers from Obolas 2nd. It was no longer historical.
Also, in ‘09, live streaming was in its infancy. Today, exponentially more people are live streaming than 8 years ago. When you look at the decline of broadcast tv and the rise of streaming, it would be easy to make the case that broadcast and streaming numbers would be close to equal.
40 mins.
Exactly. What time of day?
The handle might have meant he likes photos of guys.
Time Stamp sir?
Because Size matters.
Someone looks decidedly unhappy.
When I saw her on camera, all smiles, etc, I wondered how much they had drugged her.
No, President Trump didn't have the same crowds as Obama, but then many of the folks at Obama's inauguration didn't have to travel from out of state to be there, and his was a historic election, so there were going to be lots more folks there, anyway.
The publication of the picture with so much empty space on the mall was just another in the continuing attempts to de-legitimize President Trump.
IATZ
It seems that many disagree with your assessment of what is being disputed.
Is there an article that spells it out?
My first impression was the dispute was over the size of the crowd from some previous event.
