Based on Current Situation=> Ted Cruz Will Be Knocked Out of Race By April 26th
GP ^ | 04/02/16 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 04/02/2016 11:20:48 PM PDT by Enlightened1

Based on current delegate counts and poll numbers Ted Cruz will be mathematically unable to reach the delegate count required for him to win the Republican Presidential nomination.

By the end April it will be clear that Ted Cruz has no chance of reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.

Actually in only 3 weeks, on April 26th, it will be clear that Ted Cruz cannot win.

Rep Del Count 4-3

(chart from Google)

Currently Cruz has only 463 delegates. Even if Cruz wins Wisconsin, which is a state whose delegates are winner take most (WTM), he still will not have enough delegates to win the election by April 26th.

This is in part because New York is leaning heavily towards Trump who leads according to polls listed at Real Clear Politics by as much as 36%. New York has a Republican primary where the delegates are split proportionally. So even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates, it won’t be enough. This is because come April 26th, there are five Republican Presidential primaries and three of these are winner take all (WTA). All three of these states are in the East where polls show Trump leading (Maryland and Pennsylvania) or there is no polling available with the state highly likely leaning towards Trump (Delaware). Even if Cruz wins a third of the delegates in Rhode Island or Connecticut or any of these states, it will not be enough to keep him mathematically in the race.

Actually speaking for myself as I know what I would do.
I would not want Trump to have done what cruz is doing with the establishment.
I supported cruz and only switched my vote when he got cozy with Rubio on that debate stage.

Which cannot come soon enough for me. My only concern is that likely Trump will be force to forge a deal with Teddy to let him be VP. Trumpsters mentally prepare yourself for it.

If Trump were doing what Cruz is doing, I’d drop my support for Trump instantly.

Btw, I used to be a Cruz supporter.

Then I learned more about him.

Think about it.

Nice try.

God bless you for being a Minuteman and patriot.

And God bless you for saving lives.

But why taint your own good deeds to offer some lame fig leaf to Cruz?

‘Funny I did not see Trump down on the border with us trying to stop illegal immigration or donating to our little band of Patriots. It would have been tax deductible ...’

There are different kinds of patiots.

The Tea Party got audited big-time.

I knew that they would be hit one way or another. Why I never officially joined. But I supported them and the Minutemen the best way I knew how.

Trump was also on your side all along too.

He knows his enemy. Gained intel on them.

It’s time to take sides.

Are you on the side of Romney, McConnell, McCain, and Paul Ryan? That’s the Cruz side.

Or are you on the side of waterboarding, banning muslims, smart trade, and building the wall? That’s the Trump side.

Oh horse rap. Cruz doesn’t have a majority and never will. So yeah, I and millions of others are more than happy to stay home.

Romney/Cruz 2016
Ryan/Cruz 2016
McCarthy/Cruz 2016
RINO/Cruz 2016

First of all, the vice president basically lives in the basement so it keeps him out of the limelight and stops him from being a burr in the gop’s saddle.

And win or lose, his political career is over because he’s proven he’s a part of the gopE and the ultimate insider.

Don’t be surprised if this happens.

I’ve only had one Cruz supporter to respond to this scenario by saying he won’t vote for a rino at the head of the ticket.

I have been trying to get over my disappointment over Cruz and how he is turning out and now I just can’t get it out of my mind that he is a spoiler and has been the whole time. I keep thinking what did they offer him to throw it?

Could the answer be SCALIA’S SEAT ON THE BENCH? I have heard people say that is what he truly wants.

I don’t see how the Establishment will win people over by HIJACKING and SELECTING someone who did not win a single Delegate in the Primary voting by the people?

What’s the point of voting if the Establishment is going to have a hissy fit and say we cannot have who won the Primaries?

I would say our Establishment is VERY CLOSE to collapsing if they are saying We the People cannot vote on who we want in office.

You don’t see how they can win .... they don’t want to win. That’s the whole point. But they would like to get rid of Cruz or at least shut him up.

Cruz will be the veep behind a rino. And most Cruz supporters will vote for them saying “Well, in 8 years he’ll be president.”

But they won’t get any democrat voters and they won’t get Trump voters so they’ll go down like Romney. Which is what they want.

Trump or Cruz won’t be president unless the Democrats really step in it.

Trump is not really interested in being president otherwise he would have a little more tact with respect to women. Normally I would take most of the polls with a mountain of salt. Heidi, Carly, his show...70% negative...is certainly possible. He is a well known personality in this cycle. He cannot change that without a herculean effort. He’s not up to it.

Cruz could win the nomination...maybe...but only after the first ballot does not nominate a candidate. Cruz could get the nomination but Trump could go third party and take the win away from the republicans even if they run against Hillary...indicted or not.

This thread was started on nonsense. Cruz does not have to leave because the author was in fantasy land...self hope that if Cruz leaves, Trump would win a majority on first ballot. But ignores the fact that after first ballot is inconclusive it is an open convention and EVERYONE starts over. If it were me, I would have the rules committee specify runoff of top two. But the party is probably more interested in sharing power with democrats in the current non dominant role.

Of course the democrats are interested in Hillary “Business as Usual” Clinton to continue ripping off America.

Since Trump was primarily buying off Democratic politicians in the past...was until recently pretty well aligned with Democrats the money question is: Why did he change, if he did? The second question would be, would he stand to make more money if he lost (forcing an unnatural democratic win ala Clinton first term) and are there any historical evidence of that as a business tactic?

And as shown in the chart, Hoft estimates that Trump will only need 284 coming out of 4/26 to make 1237. There will be 634 delegates still available.

All a moot issue on 4/27, of course.

“If Jeb, Rubio or Kasich had Trump’s Delegate count, then the RNC would already be calling this race over.”

Let me edit.

If Jeb, Rubio, Cruz or Kasich had Trump’s Delegate count, then the RNC would already be calling this race over.

And then there's California, which is NOT a winner take all state,

Yes it is.

Not only is it winner take all, but it's a closed primary. One of which has Cruz leading Trump in the polls by a point or two.

Trump cannot go third party after losing in a primary.

It’s because of the Sore Loser laws in many states that disallow any candidate who lost in a Primary to get on the ballet as a third party. It also disallows any one who voted in a primary from signing a petition to get someone on the ballot as a third party candidate.

So, the only way Trump, or Cruz can be president is to secure the party’s nomination outright on delegates or in a contested convention.

That is why Ross Perot went 3rd party from the get go, he never wanted to be president, he just wanted to make sure Bush lost to who ever the Democrat nominee was.

We aren’t “jittery” at all!

We’re trying to get you all to face reality!

And besides the states listed in this article, Trump shall also take N.J., which IS winner take all.

Trump SHALL have the 1237; Teddy won’t EVER get anywhere near that number !

Well put :)
