Trump or Cruz won’t be president unless the Democrats really step in it.

Trump is not really interested in being president otherwise he would have a little more tact with respect to women. Normally I would take most of the polls with a mountain of salt. Heidi, Carly, his show...70% negative...is certainly possible. He is a well known personality in this cycle. He cannot change that without a herculean effort. He’s not up to it.

Cruz could win the nomination...maybe...but only after the first ballot does not nominate a candidate. Cruz could get the nomination but Trump could go third party and take the win away from the republicans even if they run against Hillary...indicted or not.

This thread was started on nonsense. Cruz does not have to leave because the author was in fantasy land...self hope that if Cruz leaves, Trump would win a majority on first ballot. But ignores the fact that after first ballot is inconclusive it is an open convention and EVERYONE starts over. If it were me, I would have the rules committee specify runoff of top two. But the party is probably more interested in sharing power with democrats in the current non dominant role.

Of course the democrats are interested in Hillary “Business as Usual” Clinton to continue ripping off America.

Since Trump was primarily buying off Democratic politicians in the past...was until recently pretty well aligned with Democrats the money question is: Why did he change, if he did? The second question would be, would he stand to make more money if he lost (forcing an unnatural democratic win ala Clinton first term) and are there any historical evidence of that as a business tactic?

Trump cannot go third party after losing in a primary.

It’s because of the Sore Loser laws in many states that disallow any candidate who lost in a Primary to get on the ballet as a third party. It also disallows any one who voted in a primary from signing a petition to get someone on the ballot as a third party candidate.

So, the only way Trump, or Cruz can be president is to secure the party’s nomination outright on delegates or in a contested convention.

That is why Ross Perot went 3rd party from the get go, he never wanted to be president, he just wanted to make sure Bush lost to who ever the Democrat nominee was.
