On the 43rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, many GOP presidential contenders were not silent. While Democrats Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton continue to defend the horrors of abortion, Republicans Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum, Carly Fiorina, and Ben Carson took to social media. Recognizing the tragedy of over 58 million lives lost, these candidates explained why they stand for life.
Donald Trump, however, has been silent on abortion, the March for Life, and Roe v. Wade all day. He is the only GOP front runner to avoid making a statement. Issues concerning Trump’s pro-abortion past continue to rise – including his statement that his sister would be “one of the best†justices for the U.S. Supreme Court, despite her ruling in favor of partial-birth abortion as a circuit judge.
Trump’s lack of a statement on the anniversary of Roe further illustrate the muddle he is in with pro-lifers and conservatives. His statements are viewed by some as very concerning, including his recent observation that “[W]e have to look at the positives, also, for Planned Parenthood.â€

So why didn’t Trump Tweet, or even RETWEET, the life issue on Jan. 22?
No, Ted backed Michael Luttig. He supported the Roberts nomination after Bush made it.

Cruz hired him in Florida during the vote problems down there.
You are not forced to make public statements in favor of an appointee.
Cruz hired him on initially, and back him when he was nominated.

What was in Roberts’ background to show me, Cruz, or anyone that Roberts was not as pro-Constitution as he appeared.

The focus of this thread is Donald Trump’s silence. Even if you don’t like what a moderator does, it’s still true. There are other sources confirming what they said.
Whoever owns, or moderates, the website has the right to pull your post.
I might disagree with them, or not, if I knew what you said, but they still have the right. But that’s neither here nor there.

Just want to say, though, that Donald Trump wrote the Op-Ed THE NEXT DAY after he was hammered about being silent on Jan. 22.

Different book. The Art of the Deal is a description of Donald Trump’s deal making system. You are seeing it happen right before you eyes with that debate/benefit maneuver.
I’m seeing that Meagyn Kelly won this deal, and I’m neither a fan of Trump nor Meagyn.
