Speaking with Fox News host Chris Wallace this weekend, 2016 GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump made a remarkable statement about what he planned for the Department of Education, if and when he becomes president.
"I may cut Department of Education," Trump said. "I believe Common Core is a very bad thing. I believe that we should be -- you know, educating our children from Iowa, from New Hampshire, from South Carolina, from California, from New York. I think that it should be local education."
Many Americans agree, especially as the Department of Education has grown into a massive bureaucracy more focused on indoctrinating students in the Islamic faith and "white privilege" than in actually teaching them things that matter, like, say, literature and math.
Plus, getting rid of the Department of Education would give parents much more power over what their children learn.
However, whether Trump could get actually rid of Common Core, which is his apparent goal, remains to be seen.
As The Daily Caller reporter Blake Neff explained, "While Common Core is promoted indirectly by the Department of Education, it is still adopted individually by state governments, and the federal government does not control it."
Still, it's a very worthwhile goal to consider since many parents are fed-up with Common Core's "one-size-fits-all" approach to education.
Frankly, education is much too important to be mass produced ... and thankfully, most Americans, including Donald Trump, get this.

I am awestruck and disheartened at the gullibility of folks, the failure to recognize a blatant mistake. Hinging all on a patriotic Donald Trump whose being there in the first place is because of self-generated celebrity fame (how many billionaires are famous?). And with a 26-year trail of lefty moderate government tendencies about a mile wide.
God let it happen, we pray!
It was Reagan greatest failure, not getting that done. If Trump can do it, he will be greater than Reagan. It was created in 1979, only a year old when RR took office.

It is infuriating. They say: "Hey. We aren't impinging on your (UNDER THE BREATH...snicker...STUPID) state's rights by linking the carrot of billions of various federal funding to the adoption of our (INSERT FAVORITE LIBERAL CAUSE HERE) legislation, it is completely your choice. You are free to refuse the crack...er...money. Did I just say that aloud?"

Are you really too young to remember how these functions were performed before Jimmy Carter (whose involvement in its founding explains why it performs so poor) established the education department?
The creation of the department caused the level of spending we see now, and most spending is on that bureaucracy.

THAT department eliminated may single handedly restore our country! We raise little traitors to our Republic. They are in office today and packing our population with Marxists to keep them in office with huge electorals at election time.
