".... I certainly don't agree with Carson on this but neither do I think it is terribly material to anything. If you are trying to make a case that Carson is an idiot or against science, I think it takes more than a religious conviction to discredit an internationally prominent neurosurgeon with a string of articles published in scholarly medical journals. On the other hand, Hillary Clinton believes in man-induced global warming. Many of the same people criticizing Carson actually believe that gender has nothing to do with chromosomes or endocrinology or physiology. When it comes to GMOs, especially seeds that minimize the need for herbicides and insecticides, the entire left make the Luddites look positively progressive. If you scratch a leftist you find someone screaming "vaccines cause autism." And letâs not even get started on the bizarre belief that heterosexual marriage and the pathetic fraud that is homosexual marriage are even comparable much less equal....."

Ben Carson is the least qualified, least suited candidate to ever run for the Presidency. That includes Obama. I would think we have had enough of affirmative action politics.
Carson high in polls. Leftists try to destroy him.
As soon as a good person threatens their stranglehold on power, they set out to destroy him.
Ben Carson is going after “secular progressives” in response to mocking by Donald Trump and others of his theory that the ancient Egyptian pyramids were meant to store grain instead of serve as tombs for the pharaohs.
“Some people believe in the Bible, like I do, and don’t find that to be silly at all,” the Republican presidential candidate told reporters in Miami on Thursday, according to a report by Talking Points Memo.
“The secular progressives try to ridicule it anytime it comes up, and they’re welcome to do that,” Carson added about his remarks in a video highlighted by a Buzzfeed.
Trump, who is competing with Carson for the lead in the GOP presidential race, poked fun at the retired neurosurgeon’s theory about the pyramids earlier on Thursday, saying, “that was a strange deal.”
Carson told CBS on Wednesday that he still believed that the Bible’s Joseph built the pyramids to store grain, noting they had “hermetically sealed compartments.”
The network noted the candidate had in mind the biblical reference to the seven years of plenty in Egypt, when Joseph stored grain to feed people during seven years of famine.

No, it’s obvious he doesn’t hold these wildly wrong beliefs because of stupidity. However that doesn’t really let him off the hook, because the alternatives are that he either has no common sense, or no critical thinking skills. Either one of those is not a positive quality in a presidential candidate.
My coworker also sees Carson’s view on use of pyramids as meaningless... I however disagree.
The entire subject is not worth a Tinker’s Dam.
Ben Carson’s call for transgender bathrooms has LGBT advocates up in arms, with some comparing the proposal to the segregated bathrooms African Americans were forced to use before the civil rights movement.
The Republican presidential candidate suggested Thursday that transgender people make ‘everybody else uncomfortable” when they use public restrooms, during an interview with Fusion. His solution was to create a third bathroom in public buildings for transgender people.
“How about we have a transgender bathroom?” Carson said.
“It’s not fair for them to make everybody else uncomfortable,” he added. “It’s one of the things that I don’t particularly like about the [LGBT] movement. I think everybody has equal rights, but I’m not sure that anybody should have extra rights-extra rights when it comes to redefining everything for everybody else and imposing your view on everybody else.”
The Human Rights Campaign blasted Carson for what it sees as his “transphobic views,” pointing to comments Carson made earlier this year that being gay is a choice.
“Ben Carson’s hateful comments are out of touch and all candidates should immediately make clear that they disavow his dangerously transphobic views,” HRC President Chad Griffin said in a statement. “Ben Carson can’t go a week without invoking reckless and irresponsible stereotypes about the LGBT community, and his suggestion that transgender people be required to use segregated bathrooms echoes an ugly past our country should never revisit.”

Carson is not my guy, but the MORE government experience someone has, the less I’d like to see them become President.
Carson now leads Trump by 12 points in North Carolina. Media is in ecstasy.
More bizarre all the time.
Seems to me that's as likely to be someone on the right.
Armstrong Williams, Louis Farrakhan, dietary supplements, prison makes you gay, and now the pyramids were all built in one lifetime to store grain? This weird factor on this nodding low talker is getting pretty noticeable.
You’re way off the rails in suggesting “no common sense” or “critical thinking skills.” Frankly, on these points I’m thinking those shoes fit you better. The origin and use of the pyramids is by no means a settled matter. It may be in your mind, even though you didn’t build them. You put your faith in ones who claim to have all the answers. I rather like to see such things questioned and/or alternatives proposed. But that’s not “common sense” or “critical thinking,” is it?
So you and Hillary are on the same page?
The experience someone running for President has should at least be relevant to the demands of the Office of the Presidency. I don’t see any evidence of that needed experience with Carson.
I think this started out as a means to build a brand name and make money. Armstrong Williams is doing that successfully.
A majority of what SDA’s believe is not in the Bible.
“Ben Carson is the least qualified, least suited candidate to ever run for the Presidency. That includes Obama. “
That might be the silliest thing I have ever read on FR.
I think the whole LGBT issue is bizarre. Is that what Hillary thinks?
