Ben Carson: Egyptians used the pyramids to store grain, not bury the pharaohs

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson is not backing down from a belief that drew widespread attention on Wednesday - that the Egyptian pyramids were built as grain silos, not elaborate tombs.
In a 1998 commencement speech at Andrews University unearthed by BuzzFeed, Carson pointed to hermetically sealed chambers as a sign the pyramids were used by Egyptians to store grain and food.
"My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain," Carson said in the speech, referring to the biblical figure.
He added: "Now, all the archaeologists think that they were made for the pharaohs' graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big - when you stop and think about it, and I don't think it'd just disappear over the course of time - to store that much grain."

Most of them are hydraulic ram pumps used to get water from the Nile to the interior farm lands that were drying up due to climate change. That is why they are all along the river and have subsurface tunnels and burn marks at the top of the Kings Chamber. Very sophisticated.

I think its a loony idea but I fail to see wat it has to do with anything.
Its the kind of question the left uses.

It is a serious mistake to assume that anyone, especially of another age, thinks as we do.

One was his born kin, the other was his corn bin.

What was the difference between King Tut's half-brother Scott and his great pyramid at Cheops?

This is gaining traction. I was never a supporter of Carson, but I think the ground is starting to crumble under his feet. And this is a sad reason for it to happen.

Sure and while we’re at it lets ask some questions about eminent domain seizures for private use or past donations to the Clintons.
They’re certainly far more relevant questions than what someone thinks the pyramids were used for.

I watched a clip of the OLD video today, on Morning Joe’s I think.
Dr. Ben Carson was asked about it by a reporter and he replied that he stands by his same belief today.

Eminent domain? You get paid for the land they take. Usually pretty well.
Donated to the Clintons? OK. And that proves what exactly?
Trump’s biggest problem in the general will be the “war on women”. Megyn started it, Hillary is perfecting it and they will unleash the vagina blitzkrieg on him with full menopausal force.
How he handles that I don’t know, but I am pretty sure he has a plan for it. He seems to have the bases covered well.
