Conservative powerhouse Rush Limbaugh let loose on liberals and GOP establishment types critical of Republican presidential candidates Ben Carson and Donald Trump. On his website, Limbaugh said, âI donât care what you think of Donald Trumpâs personality. Frankly, itâs none of your damn business,â he said.
âYou go do what heâs done and then tell him heâs worthless. Go do what Ben Carsonâs done and then tell him and tell the rest of us that he doesnât know what heâs doing, or any of the others up there on that debate stage,â he added. Limbaugh remarks come as the popularity of these two outsiders have risen among Republican voters but not among many in the mainstream media or the GOP establishment.
Limbaugh identified why voters were attracted to Carson and Trump and it happens to be the very reasons why Republicans in Washington have an aversion to the presidential hopefuls. Hereâs what those people donât like about these men: They say what they mean and they donât back down when the media has a conniption fit about it.
Trump has been straightforward about illegal immigration, the Muslim refugee crisis, the minimum wage and taxes â and the public loves what he has to say. Similarly, Carson refused to back down from remarks about a Muslim in the White House that offended the left and the mainstream media â but made every right-thinking American cheer.
Limbaugh nailed it on this one â when any critics of these two men can accomplish what theyâve accomplished, maybe they will have room to talk. But until then, they should just do everyone a favor and be quiet.

I am with you. Primary held today...Cruz all the way.
Otherwise it is a megalomaniac or a beast...and neither is any way to run a country let alone save it.
Trump is a useful tool for those who know how to use him.
I so agree with everything you said...it’s sad really, that some on here haven’t seen what we see...but then again, you only see whatever you want to see!
It's yet another tedious little cliche; saddle up, lock and load, boom.
Excellent post!
Between weird characters showing up in posts and the repeated malware messages it is becoming increasingly difficult to read FR.
Absolutely. No Carson. Trump all the way! (Something about Carson makes me feel a little hinky — not trusting him so much. Seems nice enough. Just something...)
LOL. I hope I hear that now when I read it in a headline. Drove me nuts so now I can smile.
I think he’s saying when people attack Trump, it’s personal most of the time.
I’ve seen it here - 95% of the time it’s an attack on his personality. One even went so far as to imply he had a diagnosis of a mental condition - with out the benefit of ever being near him, much less doing a psychological exam, LOL!
The other 5% question his policies and that is perfectly fair. The former is irrational and isn’t what conservatism is about. it’s more a tool of the left.
“Rush likes Cruz and Carson .. but not sure they are as strong in temperament and determination, to stop the damage from continuing.. to turn it around... to deport the illegals.. to build the fence...”
Carson won’t- he came out for amnesty. Letting the illegals stay and have legal status, along with all the freebies they can get - fits the definition of amnesty. That will eventually lead to citizenship and voting if course.
Cruz refuses to say if he’s for amnesty or not. Not a good sign, IMO. He says he’ll deal with border security first - then ‘have the discussion ‘ on what to do with the millions of illegals first. He says Americans don’t want to have that discussion until the border is dealt with. BS - conservatives want that discussion! so I don’t trust him. He’s not saying because he has something to hide.
Thank you for telling us how conservatives should vote.
I’ll do the same then - conservatives shouldn’t vote for someone weak on amnesty. Whether they call letting illegals stay amnesty or not - NOBODY is for amnesty when asked, even McCain. But letting them stay equals amnesty.
Cruz refuses to say, which worries me a lot. If he had a conservative position he would say so.
See my post #69 for details. I don’t like to repeat the same thing on the same thread - it’s annoying for others to read.
Both Trump and Carson have proved themselves, their character, in the demanding areas of medicine and business.
I nearly choked on my own vomit when dems told us in the 90’s that character doesn't matter, in order to defend POTUS Clinton.
We vote for the one who is the most consistently conservative and has a past record to prove it."
I've been told here that Cruz's problem is he's too conservative. I've also been told that the only principle that matters is winning.
Anyone who wants to can throw themselves off that cliff---again---but I'll be damned if I'm going along with them. I'm sticking with Cruz.
Some of us never learn, despite the numerous past examples available to us, that the only way to win is to nominate a solid conservative.

There are a few other things that irritate me about Cruz, but nothing that would stop me voting for him if he is on the Trump ticket. Or even if he gets the nomination. But, I really want Trump to win. And, no we don’t know how Trump would have voted, but that’s the beauty of being an outsider - he doesn’t have a record which has screwed the American public.
Missing the point there Bub. The “personality” of a political candidate who is asking you to give him power over you and your country is absolutely the voters’ business.
You are right. They do have character.
FR has become unreadable.
I don’t know why this is happening.
Well then, Rush should be attacking the ad hominim arguments.
But saying the personality of a political candidate who wants you to give him power over you and your country is none of your business is stupid.
:)
