Carson is not quite what everyone 'wants' him to be. And when some of the 'real' person seeps through, his sycophants bury their heads in the sand.
We saw the same adulations toward Fred Thompson in 2008, when too many were building him into what they wanted him to be, not what he was.
Isara posted a chart comparing Cruz, Carson and Trump on the major issues. That chart showed Carson with more unknowns than knowns.
Carson has too many mixed views on the issues.
Color each green and he looks perfect to the conservatives.
Color each red and he looks like he should be appearing in the Democrat debates rather than in the Republican debates.
[A recent thread said he has been mostly independent and former Democrat until just about a year ago:
EXCLUSIVE: Records show Ben Carson became Republican less than one year ago.]

If losing decisively is his plan Cruz is right on target. Personally I believe he knows he has no chance but hopes for a good position in the Trump admin. I think he will likely get it too. AG is a much better fit for Cruz than POTUS anyway. How is he going to work with GOP leadership? They hate his guts and they are not afraid of him Trump not so much.

Do math not common core trump + Carson = 50% leaving the remaining 50 for Bush Since neither Trump nor Carson are 50% alone that make Bush the candidate

Apparently BLACK does matter.

Carson will fade, nice guy but not ready for prime time. I think by the time it gets down to three Trump will have the plurality.
Time will tell

After Carson came out saying he and Al Sharpton have the same goals, just different methods of achieving them, I think that his poll numbers are phoney.

Carson will be shown to be under 10% in two weeks.
Yesterday a poll showed Trump at 40%. I laughed.
As a supporter of Trump, I didn’t buy in for a second.
When polls are shown artificially high, look out!
They will soon reflect reality, and the claim will be made that this candidate is dropping.
They won’t be dropping at all, but it will look like it due to manipulation.
It’s a good way to destroy a person’s support by manipulation.
Cruz, Carson, Trump, followers don’t buy into the pie in the sky polls. They’re gaming us.
Think Fiorina and what happened to her.

Budget: Cruz has made massive financial deals, has put tens of thosuands of people to work, has run a billion dollar business, and protected a bottom line. Next flight of fantasy...
Civil Liberties: Trump has said he'll round up and deport illegal immigrants, build a wall that is 60 feet tall along our border. This results in his red marker on civil liberties. No sale.
Free Market: The "FREE MARKET"... Nothing in life is free. The cost of this "FREE MARKET" has been tens of millions of U. S. jobs. Trump wants to bring them back. That warrants a red marker. LOL
Health Care and Entitlements: Trump has proposed a private sector replacement of Obamacare. He wants to reduce entitlements as part of getting the budget under control. This red marker is simply proposterous.
Moral issues: What moral issues? Good grief. Name one moral issue Trump has a problem with.
Second Amendment: This is simply a fraud. Trump has a paper on Second Amendment rights, and it's recognized as a good one.
Taxes, Economy, and Trade: Trump's tax position is good. His economic experience is second to very few U. S. Citizens. His trade view are more solid than any other candidate's.
In Cruz's favor, his free market mark isn't deserved either.
Trump is the go to guy because of his economic experience. He is solid on other issues as well, but second to illegal immigration, our national debt and related matters are vitally important and need to be addressed. Trump is the only candidate with the experience necessary to do that.
Cruz supporters are pleased to drop this bomb on the forum.
It isn't an accurate display on Trump. As such it's actually a smear on Cruz when his supporters tout it as a reason to support Cruz. What they should be doing is pointing out the obvious flaws in this ranking. And RANK is the proper word here....
As for Carson's ranking here, I don't know him as well as the other two. I will say that if such blatant falsehoods are revealed regarding Trump, I wouldn't trust a bit of ranking here regarding Carson.

I agree, Trump isn’t at 40%.. but I do think Trump and Carson combined are somewhere in the mid to upper 40s currently.
I suspect Carson will fade, and Trump will slowly rise as he slowly wins over some of the naysayers and skeptics.
I fully expect that unless he blows himself up, he’ll continue steady growth.
Fiorina was a joke from the get go, and as I said other places, Carson is a nice guy but not ready for prime time. He’ll fade back into single digits shortly.
To: HamiltonJay
That’s my point until Trump has a plurality Carson can pull enough votes away from Trump for Bush to win.
OToh Carson and Trump have known each other for years. They share a zip code at West Palm Beach.(a golf course in Carson’s backyard. Hmmmm?
To: MNJohnnie
Forgive me but your comments regarding Carson are very confusing, yesterday you continued to imply that Carson was IN FACT at Trumps Heals, you were touting polls etc to make your point, and scoffing at anybody (was not just me) that said Carson was being pushed.
I am consistent that I dont trust any polls, though I do believe Trump is leaving everybody else in the dust.
You on the other hand seem to select the polls that suit your argument, while seemingly denying the obvious lack of support here for Carson YES HE HAS SUPPORT, but not in line with the polls you are embracing.
Why are you so quick to discard the overwhelming support for Trump here (as I see it) and why are you discarding the Drudge polls etc?
I am sorry there is no evidence at all that Carson is anywhere near nipping at Trumps heals. If you think so then you might want to rethink some of your comments you said about me and direct them instead at yourself.
