The exchange captures Hillary Clinton’s red alert. She’s been going politically bankrupt for a long time, and now faces the prospect of sudden collapse.
If she’s got a winning defense, she better be quick about it. The ghosts of scandals past are gaining on her and time is not on her side.
The compelling claims that she and Bill Clinton sold favors while she was secretary of state for tens of millions of dollars for themselves and their foundation don’t need to meet the legal standard for bribery. She’s on political trial in a country where Clinton Fatigue alone could be a fatal verdict.
After 25 years of corner-cutting and dishonest behavior, accumulation is her enemy. Each day threatens to deliver the straw that breaks the camel’s back. It may already have happened and we’re just waiting for public opinion to catch up to the facts.
Meanwhile, her Houdini skills are being tested big time.
Hillary’s one big advantage is obvious — she’s the only serious contender for the Democratic nomination, and she beats most GOP opponents in head-to-head matchups. But everything else weighs against her, including momentum.

Personally, I’d like her to completely break down and retreat into that bottle. There is no fate imaginable to me she does not deserve.
I always thought the collapse of Hillery! wouldn’t come before the death of Bill. Looks like I might be wrong. I hope so!
If she collapses now, then Elizabeth Warren can step up and have a real campaign. I don't want that. I want the Dems to scramble at the last minute, shouting, "OMG! What are we gonna do?"

Hillary has a huge incentive to call it quits for the Presidency and that is the Clinton Foundation. They have a few hundred million there to fake their way through doing charitable works that never amount to anything. So she has a lifetime of “good works” and shaking hands with foreigners and flying around aimlessly if she wants

This camel must have a terrifically strong back. There are already a whole lot of straws up there. Any normal camel would have died many years ago.
I’d like to see her crawl into a bottle as well but like another writer here, I’d rather see it not happen until about August of 2016.
Even the campaign of a lying whore like elizabeth warren will be horrible let alone a victory by her. She is a populist, communist and lying radical but she is also cunning and maybe smart enough to wear a disguise long enough to be elected. She is no less grandma than hillery though.
I’ll be glad when all the boomer hippies die off. I’ve had just about enough of their crap.
The author is missing one thing: the “gibsmedat” class and the rest of the Dem base do not care. As long as she promises more goodies, it’s all cool.
Its way too early to care about polling matchups vs a broad Republican field, and especially before election advertising starts using all the rich material that’s showing up. This is not something most of the population knows about or cares about yet.
I do think someone is managing a campaign to get Hillary to drop out. All this stuff is coming from the MSM, and all of it is stuff that could have been known years ago and was being sat on/held in reserve. Someone powerful somewhere is executing a plan.
Given where this is coming from, I don’t think the unknown organizer of this anti-Hilary campaign is friendly to us, and it is unlikely we will benefit if it succeeds.
