“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.”
Seems like A&E is giving a blatant path for all the Duck Dynasty cast to exit their contracts simply by making similar statements. Good luck trying to sue for any money, A&E for breech of contract; any reasonable attorney can easily point to a deeply religious family with a very common religious interpretation and counter any ‘morals clause’ breech with ‘you specifically chose this family because of their beliefs, and now you say they can’t have them?’
But truth be told, I think this entire series of events is all based upon the reports that Jesus was being edited out of the prayer as producers felt it might offend Muslims.
Its outrageous!!! Why doesn`t the rest of the family/cast stand with him and threaten to move the show

The gay mafia is going to be sorry they ever pushed A&E into this terrible decision. So will A&E. If they have shareholders, I'm sure they're getting an earful from them tonight.
This has got to be one of the most boneheaded decisions a TV network has ever made. They've got the #1 rated show on all of cable, and they go and fire the principal player? That's not just nuts, it's a death wish with a smile.
I just finished researching alternatives to my Comcast and may jump to AT&T U-verse for Internet access. Although we have free basic cable TV with the base Comcast Internet, it's not watched. We catch TV over-the-air for the free HD broadcasts Comcast would charge us for getting.
Owners are Hearst and Disney/ABC for A&E.
You've got to already know in your heart that they do.
Right now, the family is probably in deep discussions with their attorneys about the best path forward from here. There won't be any public statements until after they've got their legal route mapped out.

Well if this isn’t rock solid proof that the only SANCTIONED group it’s safe to malign, censor, mock or deny rights to is CHRISTIAN AMERICA, then I sure don’t know what is.
Won’t watch A&E again and I really like American Hoggers.

People forget, especially those at A&E, that these guys were worth millions before this show. Thus the show.
