“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.”
OK everyone, it is time to fire A&E!
New 5th Congressional District U.S. Rep. Vance McAllister, R-Swartz, who was supported by the Robertsons during his campaign, said Wednesday reporters were even asking him about Robertson’s remarks.
“The first thing I’m going to ask Phil is, ‘Why in the world were you talking to GQ magazine?,’” McAllister said. “But this is America, where you get to say what you believe and what’s in your heart.”
When asked if he agreed that homosexuality is a sin, McAllister said, “It’s not my place to judge anyone. Everyone has to live by their own values.”
Right - and as soon as the money dries up guess who’ll be begging him to return????
I sent them [A& E]a message and everyone else that likes DD should contact them.
A&E just got banned from my house.

A&E can always re-re-re-re-run its archive of mouldering British melodramas.
I just sent them an e-mail letting them know I’ve blocked their channel.
THAT was my thought....I hope the whole family BOYCOTS any future production....and finds another channel for their programming.
A&E prefers the anus.

(the actor barely even said anything, really... so there are two questions in this story...
1. the homosexualization of America issue, and
2. the intense suppression of our normal, casual freedom of speech to discuss or even comment on issues of the day (not only by the government, but it appears now also by stupid big corporations?)
