According to the survey, which was released Monday, 28 percent of Republicans and independents who lean towards the GOP say they support Perry as their party's presidential nominee, with Romney at 21 percent. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is at ten percent, with Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, who's making his third bid for the White House, former Godfather's Pizza CEO and radio talk show host Herman Cain, and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, all at seven percent. The poll indicates that Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota is at four percent, with former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania at three percent and former Utah Gov. and ambassador to China Jon Huntsman at one percent.

I do not believe in the “science” of political polling, however I still follow them just to see how the enemy MSM/REP EST is trying to use them to persuade Gov Palin to stay out of the race.
This poll suggests Gov Palin has lost 8 points since the last CNN poll. The last CNN polls had Sarah at 15,12,16 and 15 in that order.
Now todays poll shows That Cain has picked up 2 points since last CNN poll, shows that Bachmann is still at 4, shows Paul has lost 2,. shows Newt has picked up 5
Last poll CNN asked 1038 adults including 943 reg voters, 834 land line 204 by cell phone
Todays CNN poll breakdown so far only tells us that they contacted 1010 adults including 447 rep leaning, does not say so far if they are reg etc.
Message from CNN as I predicted is...Please Sarah do not run, they do not want her to run, this is the message here from CNN pollsters.
They all have an agenda.
Now the part about Obama, how people like him but not his policies?? I do not like him personally, I know of nobody that does. While it`s true I do not hang out with people that support Obama, I just do not buy it that so many like him personally.
I guess they ask something like this, putting aside his policies, do you personally dislike him? That`s kind of like a pollster asking people if they pick their nose and eat it...I wager most would say no...
Say what you like about me, but at least I am consistent about my deep held belief that there is absolutely no “science” in political polling. I have held this view long before I have ever heard of Sarah Palin, and I am on record here.

BTW Cain is a very nice man, but this CNN poll only shows Cain picking up 2 points from 5 to 7.. Last CNN poll had him at 5

I abandoned Palin and went all in for Perry about a month ago.
I don’t give me allegiance easily, and it’s pretty hard to lose it once it’s given.

You betcha! Those dang Texan were raised on Alamo legends and never have known when-to-quit. Perry likely will be upright by Friday. He’s going to DO this thing.

“But the left wants us to go with Romney so they can then beat him up for being a mormon.”
I don't think they can, because they have put all their hopes and faith (so to speak) into Harry Reid. For them to try that with Mitt would be seen as very hypocritical.
On the other hand, what they WILL do is continue to pit Conservative circles against him in the Primary. That’s their only hope.

Peope need to get real on this issue. The Texas Dream Act passed a law that is stronger on illegals in state tuition and is TOUGHER than other states. In Texas before this was passed guess what folks illegals had in state tuition anyway. There are
38 states who have no legislation on illegals and in state tuition what does not mean. It means illegals are receiving in state tuition exactly the same as legal American kids.
Texas passed a law requiring illegals to live 3 yrs in Texas, grad from a TX HS, working toward citizenship with NO criminal record.
IF you are going to be mad about this...vent your anger toward those states that are ignoring the illegals in college receiving in state tuition.

They didn’t ask lilkely voters. And seeing that this is for the Republican nomination, they should probably do a nationwide poll, covering all 50 states. In closed primary states, ask only Republicans.
I dare say that the results might be different.

I agree, I know exactly what the law says and I find it incredible that no matter how many times it's explained people refuse to listen or understand. That tells me that they have no intention of "understanding" because that means they would have to stop repeating the lie.
It was also passed 10 years ago, why all the sudden furor over a 10 year old law?
To: TexasFreeper2009
Yes the reports of the death of the Perry campaign are greatly exaggerated. This poll was taken after the last debate, where many fools said that he is finished, and all the way till yesterday. Notice that Perry is averaging 28% of support since he entered and this has not changed throughout the polls.

Huh? When has hypocrisy ever stopped the media? You know they will ask questions like...”Can the South really vote for a non-christian over a black Christian? If so it proves they are racists.”

I did the same...why? To me Sarah Palin with her game playing became very very childish to me. It made me very angry....so I picked Perry...and believe me, living in Texas I’ve been pissed at him plenty of times. But I did my own research without the bias bs against him and found it to be unfounded.
