Former USDA official Shirley Sherrod, who claims she was falsely smeared as a racist while she herself falsely smears Republicans and Fox News as racists, said this morning that she would like to see BigGovernment.com, the website that made her famous, shut down for the good of the country.
CNN's American Morning reported on Sherrod's demand:
She said if Breitbart's site were shut down, "That would be a great thing, because I don't see how that advances us in this country ... at a time when we should be trying to look at how we can make space for all of us in this country, so that we can all live and work together, he's doing more to divide us."
Sherrod also told CNN she is considering suing Andrew Breitbart, the owner of Big Government:
"I really think I should. You know, I don't know a lot about the legal profession, but that's one person I'd like to get back at. Because he came at me. You know, he didn't go after the NAACP. He came at me."
Yesterday, in an interview with the Democrat front group Media Matters, Sherrod smeared Fox News as wanting to take blacks back to the Jim Crow era:
... they would love to take us back to where we were many years ago. Back to where black people were looking down, not looking white folks in the face, not being able to compete for a job out there and not be a whole person."
In the same speech given in March to the NAACP that initially got Sherrod fired by the Obama administration, Sherrod smeared Republicans as racists for opposing Barack Obama's government takeover of healthcare:
"Some of the racism we thought was buried, didn't it surface? Now we endured eight years of the Bushes, and we didn't do the stuff these Republicans are doing because you have a black president."
Sherrod is being annointed as a saint by the media for her claim to have overcome her own racism. She is even being compared to Nelson Mandela. Yet to this day she speaks in starkly racist terms of "my people" and "his own kind" while flinging the race card as skillfully as Jesse Jackson at her perceived political opponents.
She also has revealed a leftist totalitarian streak. It's no wonder the communists from ANSWER and Code Pink were out supporting her yesterday:
When her character is worthless, it remains so regardless of context or position.
Ummm, that was my point when I wrote: The truth is an absolute defense.
You can't libel or slander someone with their own statements, especially if their own statements are presented as a recording. The claimant would have to prove that the video was fabricated, and that she didn't say those words.
Sherrod has already acknowledged that the image and voice on the video is hers. Her only claim is that you didn't get the opportunity to hear the rest of the story.
If she were able to win damages for being quoted out of context, every newspaper and news network should be scared out of their minds -- the precedent would be set for some major awards. It would be a whole new cottage industry for lawyers that used to chase ambulances.
O’Reilly is supposed to come out with some stuff on this new secular saint on his program tonight — I hope he isn’t just blowing smoke out of his fair-and-balanced (never mind).
Please don’t get me wrong. I mean, Beck might have his vision for a few more days, so he might be able to clear this up. In the meantime, we should ask the bees — the bees KNOW.
Where did you hear that?
Thanks for the link.
Actually, I believe you are talking about Glenn Beck.
The signs in the photo are CODEPINK and ANSWER. CodePink is a communist-supporting group led by Jodie Evans and Medea Benjamin, friends to Chavez, Castro, and Saddam Hussein.
ANSWER is the front of the Stalinist “Workers World Party”.
For more on the WWP, go to “www.keywiki.org” and put its full name in the search box at the upper left.
CodePink might also be there. If not, go to “www.DiscoverTheNetwork.org” and do the same.
Veddy in-tedesting.
Oh look, Code Pink is trying to deal itself back in. Thanks kristinn.
Whoops, and thanks Arthur Wildfire! March!
Thanks for the explanation...makes perfect sense now. :)
She also doesn't let the truth stand in her way on her version of how slavery got started. There's no mention of the fact that black tribes in Africa were selling their enemies to slave traders or how the civil war fought by whites helped end slavery. Or how England ended slavery because it was the morally right thing to do, but slavery still exists in Africa.
In her own words:
“Well, working with him made me see that its really about those who have versus those who dont, you know. And they could be black; they could be white; they could be Hispanic. And it made me realize then that I needed to work to help poor people those who dont have access the way others have.
I want to just share something with you and I think it helps to it you know, when I learned this, Im like, Oh, my goodness. You know, back in the late 17th and 18th century, black there were black indentured servants and white indentured servants, and they all would work for the seven years and and get their freedom. And they didnt see any difference in each other nobody worried about skin color. They married each other. You know, these were poor whites and poor blacks in the same boat, except they were slaves, but they were both slaves and both had their opportunity to work out on the slavery.
But then they started looking at the injustices that they faced and started then trying you know, the people with money you know, they started the poor whites and poor blacks who were they you know, they married each other. They lived together. They were just like we would be. And they started looking at what was happening to them and decided we need to do something about it you know, about this. Well, the people with money, the elite, decided, hey, we need to do something here to divide them.
So thats when they made black people servants for life. Thats when they put laws in place forbidding them to marry each other. Thats when they created the racism that we know of today. They did it to keep us divided. And they it started working so well, they said, Gosh, looks like weve come up on something here that can last generations. And here we are over 400 years later, and its still working. What we have to do is get that out of our heads. There is no difference between us. The only difference is that the folks with money want to stay in power and whether its health care or whatever it is, theyll do what they need to do to keep that power, you know. Its always about money, yall.
You know, I havent seen such a mean-spirited people as Ive seen lately over this issue of health care. Some of the racism we thought was buried. Didnt it surface? Now, we endured eight years of the Bushs and we didnt do the stuff these Republicans are doing because you have a black President.
Thanks for the link to the transcript. I didn’t want to have to listen to this woman.
There is always more to the story than is first reported. Now we’re hearing Ms Sherrod called the Ag Dept to give them a heads up to the video. Wonder where that’s going to lead? We have the America Pravda to kill that angle so it’ll probably go nowhere. The more we learn about Ms Sherrod the more we find she’s a hard left beaurocrat like all the rest of the life long gov employees
If Jerry Falwell couldnt sue Larry Flynt for alleging Falwell committed incest with his mother and had sex with chickens what chance does this woman have?
A pretty good one. She is from an oppressed minority, where Falwell is a member of the oppressors, and a right wing Christian one at that. His case was obviously without merit before the first witness was called. Duh!
Yes Mam!
Thought they’d get a twofer with Mr. B and Mr. B.. Unfortunately for them, our guys pay attention. Reminds me of those Sylvester and Tweety cartoons when Tweety always has the one up on the stupid puddy tat.
lol
Another left wing holy woman - Saint Bigot - to go along with Saint Pancake. Damned funny-looking stained glass window in that church.
Many contend that Shirley Sherrod will ultimately prove out to be nothing more than a Scott Brown.
TURNCOAT!
Eff this pig. She’s a racist, true and through.
