They're not that hard to find. They're always new, in the package, unused and pristine!

"This photo, of this 'room' buried under thousands of years worth of ice, looks like the inside of a hull - notice the gradual curving"

In Pine Valley, Utah is the oldest Mormon Church in continuous use.

The builder was a shipwright. For the roof he built an inverted ship's hull.

There are buildings like that in England -

When ships were no longer seaworthy, they were most often sold for their lumber - and oft times, the hulls were simply turned upside down and, voila, the roof.

This photo is a barn roof in England, thought to be from a ship found 'not sea worthy' in 1624.

this roof is thought to be the hull of that ship - the Mayflower...which, at the time, was not 'famous', just a worn out ship. ;o) The great crossbeam even has a crack in it - which coincides with the crack in the beam of the Mayflower during a hurricane that threatened to send them to the bottom of the sea, halfway across the Atlantic.

They were able to shore it up with 'a grew screw' someone had on board.

I suspicion that may have been from Elder Wm Brewster's printing press he had in Holland - where he, clandestinely, printed 'seditious' tracks against the crown, including the infamous "Perth Assembly" - that had the crown put a reward on his head and had their Pinkerton detectives crisscrossing England and Holland in pursuit of him.

He had to be smuggled into England and aboard the Mayflower for what, many decades later, became "history."

Mount Ararat was most notably Volcanically active around 3000 b.c. and a few times since. You will notice the lava flow covering the wooden beams in some places and actually ending the beams as they burnt through them in attached picture (left center). Hard to plant something like this. Either this is Noah's Ark or an old man-made structure (ref. 1840 volcanic activity) that has been exposed to volcanic activity.

“Seems Turkey was bent on prohibiting anyone going anywhere near Mt. Ararat.”

I think the Turks can be reasoned with, if you ask them nicely. It takes a bit of work, but it’s doable unless you’re some sort of a nut job.

A good friend of mine does this sort of thing for a living (poking about in different parts of the world for one ark or another). If you like, I will be happy to ask him what it took to get the approvals. No, he didn’t find anything like Noah’s ark up there. He did find some neat marine discoveries lately though. Rather impressive, so if you haven’t heard about it yet, you will.

exactly.

The volcanic ash and the thousands of years of ice did a good job of preserving - and attests to the impossibility of it’s been ‘planted.’

that high on up on one of the most inhospitable mountains - weather, lack of vegetation wise - would make it highly unlikely it would have a house structure.

Typical Moslem jackasses trying to block any knowledge?

Muslims believe in Noah, too.

Why can’t the skeptics of the literal account of Noah and the Flood find reason to be excited about a pretty spectacular archeological find? Even if it’s not the Ark, finding a human built structure older than the ice and lava flow that cover it should be reason for Christian and secular alike to be excited.
But most of the non-believers here on FR and in much greater numbers on the DU are hoping this all turns out to be some sophisticated hoax so they can laugh at the silly Christians, and so they can find reason to continue to reject the Gospel.

Scythian was not as far off ("Posted 27 times already") as we might like to think. :') The keyword "noahsark" (minus the first topic, which was about rainfall in Texas) sorted chrono (by hand, not by machine):

I just found out my sister knows one of the scientist who discovered the structure, and that the structure being shown has been found some time ago but not by Chinese explorers, and it’s just now hitting the mainstream news when she learned the same montsh ago right from the source. She also said the what is being shown in the media is just part of what they found, and that the ship (and he says it most definitely is a ship) is in two separate sections as if broken in half.
I called my sister tonight and learned a little more than what she wrote in the e-mail to me. Were going to talk more tomorow (Sunday) when we see each other at a family gathering.

My sister rights:

“This has been discovered long before by my friend Dr. Ron Charles. You are seeing just a portion of it in the media. I have heard the personal stories on the discovery directly from him. Very interesting. The discovery was done by Dr. Ron Charles and his exuviating crew. I have a lot of info that I can get. He will be here in June for a few days you are welcome to come and talk with him. He will be at our church he is personal friends with my pastor, I have also had him overnight with his wife here. I have a great book from Dr Ron Charles you should read of all the discoveries he has made.
I have his wife on face book but he has to play it low key because of other things he is involved that is dangerous to be public knowledge.”

"Believing The Flood actually literally occurred strains credulity."

So, you're not a Torah believing Jew, then.
