Caller: I'm very frustrated about what happened they didn't listen to the people at all.
I don't know if you happened to hear what Michelle Bachmann said about peacefully not complying with obamacare? I think that's going to be me.
I have read the bill and I know about the provisions that will throw me in prison and really I don't care. I'll be more than happy to go to prison to fight for my freedom.
Host: How do you see your freedom on the line here?
Caller: They are taking our money by fiat. They are taking our money and giving it to somebody else. I cannot pay my bills and I cannot feed myself and the people I need to take care of if it's taken from me by force.
Host: Do you mean in the mandate that everybody have health insurance?
Caller: Yes, that's the primary aspect of it as it sits right now, but that's not all the only aspect. This bill has hundreds of tax increases in it and it creates hundreds of new bureaucracies. It spends money that we don't frankly have and it's a threat to me and my family.
Host: Do you think you would have thought the same way about social security if you were on the whitehouse lawn in 1935?
Caller: I think I would have and given where social security is now with the.... what's the debt of social security? Isn't it like 25 trillion now? The people that said the things that they said about social security given the huge debt that it's in were correct. I saw a piece in USA Today about the combined debt of social security and medicare together is 60 trillion dollars.
Was your last post in some made-up private language? I have no idea what you are trying to say.
If the ‘caller’does not have insurance and cannot afford a necessary medical procedure, who should pay for that procedure?
Please exclude the issue of “forced insurance” in your consideration of the problem.
I will not go to prison to keep my freedom. i will go to the cemetery and hopefully take a few fascists with me.
You FReepmailed me, check the response...
For a hamburger today I will gladly pay you on Thursday.
Otay Whimpy...;-)
I think I’m good for that...
Why is that anyone's problem other than the caller and his family?
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Should he be denied treatment so I do not have to pay for it?
Whether he gets treatment or not is frankly none of my business.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
You finally answered my question with which I do not disagree. That was not too difficult, was it?
He would NEVER be denied!
It is a matter of LAW.
What would happen is that "HE" would be responsible for the repayment of services rendered in trying to administer health care for "him."
I would rather be dead broke and healed than just dead.
Since when did it become MY responsibility to take care of those who didn't take care of themselves or plan for possible future illness?
It's hard enough to just take care of me and my family.
You want me to help out? Cut my taxes. Give me my money back to do with what I wish and I would gladly donate to any organization that provides financial help to those who need medical care and can't afford it.
As it is though, I owe so much to the government that I can barely afford to live comfortable myself.
Nevertheless, I think it's high time we not only draw the line against Commiecare, but roll back all the incremental changes that have taken place since the Great Society. Whether someone has a roof over their head, food on their table, kids in school, etc. is not my concern. We need to get back to taking care of our own, as families, communities and congregations, and quit relying on people across the country to pay our bills.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Oh, I see. Sorry.
That is the dilemma. Those costs are passed on to those who pay. I do not have the answer. Perhaps foolishly, I am attempting to ascertain if anyone has a good idea besides the status quo.
Nor I.
