Unreal. Team Obama may allow US soldiers to be tried in the Hague for war crimes. The Wall Street Journal reported, via Jihad Watch:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed great regret in August that the U.S. is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court (ICC). This has fueled speculation that the Obama administration may reverse another Bush policy and sign up for what could lead to the trial of Americans for war crimes in The Hague.
The ICCs chief prosecutor, though, has no intention of waiting for Washington to submit to the courts authority. Luis Moreno Ocampo says he already has jurisdictionat least with respect to Afghanistan.
Because Kabul in 2003 ratified the Rome Statutethe ICCs founding treatyall soldiers on Afghan territory, even those from nontreaty countries, fall under the ICCs oversight, Mr. Ocampo told me. And the chief prosecutor says he is already conducting a preliminary examination into whether NATO troops, including American soldiers, fighting the Taliban may have to be put in the dock.
We have to check if crimes against humanity, war crimes or genocide have been committed in Afghanistan, Mr. Ocampo told me. There are serious allegations against the Taliban and al Qaeda and serious allegations about warlords, even against some who are connected with members of the government. Taking up his inquiry of Allied soldiers, he added, there are different reports about problems with bombings and there are also allegations about torture.
It was clear who the targets of these particular inquiries are but the chief prosecutor shied away from spelling it out.
Asked repeatedly whether the examination of bombings and torture allegations refers to NATO and U.S. soldiers, Mr. Ocampo finally stated that we are investigating whoever commits war crimes, including the group you mentioned.
Ok, I hate her too.
Good!
:)
Never or next summer
They don’t understand.
In other words, it was intended to bring justice to third world basket case cesspools. However, the left sees it as: (1) another path to achieve their goals; and (2) inherently "more fair" than a racistsexistbigotedhomophobe U.S. court.
Nevermind we have a criminal justice system which is the envy of the world. Nevermind the same liberals who will push for Americans to be tried in the ICC, without a jury or other U.S. Constitutional concepts, think Mumia got a raw deal.
Which brings up a point. If the U.S. willingly let an American military member, subject to the UCMJ, be tried by the ICC, despite the fact we have not ratified the treaty (and the Senate never will ratify this), and the ICC defers first to the local countries (read "jurisdictions"), which means the U.S. Military justice system (read "Executive Branch") has a right of refusal on the case, said ICC case would violate the protections and rights guaranteed under the Sixth Amendment (namely, a jury trial).
This would open a huge hole for the accused to then sue the Federal Government for violating his Constitutional rights.
I can't imagine how you feel as I was lucky enough to be born here. However, I can sympathize with the idea that this is no longer the country I grew up in and especially the pissed off part! Thank you for coming to America and standing up to fight the islamo-facist communist coup that is taking place before our eyes.
The smell of that nasty bit*h is all over everything he does. She’s trying to woo the military. She knows she will need them when the final coup begins.
Yeah but we’re armed to the teeth...slight difference...
Do a little reasearch on “the battle of Athens Tenn USA” 1946...
When citizens and veterans threw out a corrupt democrat political machine by use of arms.
Infuriating, isn’t it?
Everybody read the link about the 9 million fraudulent voters (not counting illegals).
0 didn’t really win the election, and it’s easier to get through the day knowing that. For me, anyway.
I live for the day that POS gets what’s coming to him and it will. He will have to leave his cushy WH sooner or later, one way of the other. I wish him nothing but the worst life has to offer.
YES
Every pissing day I read another piece of crap form this white house and his radical friends.
Then when I try to explain to some idiots about what is happening they couldn’t care less.
I think you are in dreamland, if you really believe that.
if American service personnel can be subject to foreign courts, then, so can the President.
0bama has authorized the use of unmanned drones for attacking civilian targets inside Pakistan. there is no other interpretation...when the shoot a missile at a suspected militant house, and when that house also has women and children...its a war crime...according to the same people who are pushing this trial of US military and (presumably CIA and contract operatives) others.
0bama will be charged with war crimes...and tried in absentia and convicted...that is my prediction.
You got that right old bean !!
“Are we at the tipping point? I have had it!”
I have been for some time!
0bama will be charged with war crimes...and tried in absentia and convicted...
Tell me how great 0’b is again, I forgot, comeon now, one of you suckers who voted for him must know.
The ONLY reason they did not attempt to impeach President Bush was because THEY HAD NOTHING ON HIM! They would have had to back up their insane so-called charges with FACTS and evidence of those facts. They had NOTHING, so they would have exposed themselves to all the world for the frauds that they were/are. By not attempting to impeach him, they can continue their insane rants and lies. Many have at least some degree of suspicion that there may be some truth to their lies.
There is no need to impeach the usurper...simply demand his birth certificate and have him removed.
The news is that we are still sitting on our rear ends.
