A salamander allegedly “18 million years old” is the latest fossil to produce astonishingly well preserved soft tissue. This time, it’s muscle tissue, and it is supposedly the most pristine example yet.

Background—the “dinosaur connection”...

There is no science behind all species evolving from one, only philosophy.

The bible says all species were created 'after their kind'. Does that mean there were cows in the universe before God created cows on earth?

The Flinstones were a cartoon... I know that is hard to beleive but it was only a cartoon based on the Honey Mooners... nothing more. You can not get religion from cartoons. You can’t base your world reality on sketches of Bugs Bunny and Popeye.

Ah...you've proven your vast intellectual prowess now. You can move along.

I’m quite willing to answer any question you pose to me, but I’m not going to do so until you answer the question I asked you.

It’s only polite...and it will stop me wondering why you’re leaving it unanswered.

You posed a question to me and I answered it. I have no idea what you are referring to.

Or perhaps the question is really, for your mocking disbelief in His Son

What did I say about Jesus?

"I don’t see you complaining about people posting multiple stories on the same subject when it comes global warming, the fall of the Berlin Wall, etc, etc. I will keep posting these stories as often as they come up, as they all approach the subject from a slightly different angle, and new details are coming out all the time."

Actually, no one is forced to read what you post . . . or to respond, if they do read it. They don't even have to read the headline if they are careful to first see from whom it is coming.

So . . . what's the beef?

>>There is no science behind all species evolving from one, only philosophy.<<

This is like trying to explain Relational Theory to someone with no knowledge of set theory, much less information theory, much less an IT background.

Your extremely lay (and rather cute) position based on 100% ignorance of science is the same as placing a Dunce cap on your own head and then saying “only us Dunces know stuff.”

I will ask you a question about yet another area of science I am sure you are ignorant on and spot you Google and Yahoo: what is the difference between a query and an inquiry (show your work - that is which relational theory rules are in play and how). I mean, if you can pontificate and draw scientific conclusions on the natural sciences, then information and relational theory should be a walk in the park.

While you are at it, you can educate everyone on what a Scientific Theory is and how the Theory of Gravity plays into your cute little lay understanding.

Answer these and the world is your oyster.

Unsportsmanlike; attacking faith is a sport for small boys.

Darwin’s mistake was thinking that his theory would advance understanding of nature while ignoring the obvious fact that civilization would champion the weak, therby undermining his theory’s very foundation.

It still remains open for discussion as to whether evolution should be thought progressive or comsumptive.

Actually, Darwin writes about that very same thing. You should read his works and not rely on some creationist website for your info. I makes you look, uh, misinformed.

Don´t be ridiculous. If they had to hand actual muscle tissue they´d be able to do more than discover just...

“...a total of eight collagen peptides and 149 amino acids”

and only after the sample was *demineralized*, subjected to mass spectrometry and the results analyzed using spectral comparison algorithims, statistical evaluation.

What do you think is the reason that the pickings from this supposedly intact soft tissue are so slim?

21And God created great whales, And why won’t you answer whether you believe that Jonah and the whale story?

I did answer that question, and you failed to answer mine.

And the Flood, and the 3 Hebrew children thrown into a furnace and the Red Sea splitting, and Jesus (&Peter) walking on the water, and Jesus raising the dead (Several times) as WELL AS being RESURRECTED Himself. Yep. So, Which parts do you believe if any?

Funny you should mention that, I read the King James Version, not others. While other ‘plain English’ translations may be easier to read, too much of context changes as words are substituted. KJV - Great whales.

I tried nothing of the sort. Gods own Word says that. Read it, it is Good. Read alot of it, you will begin to understand why you need a Savior. Gods WOrd can comfort, it can guide, and it can Cut like a sharp double edged sword. It is those cuts that produce the conviction in a heart and which cause repentance and spiritual growth. A fool refuses to listen to Gods Word because it offends him.

I read him, he was challenged by his own cousin on those grounds and pooh-poohed such worries.

Darwin was rather rushed by Wallace’s apparent interest in publishing his own work, I believe.

You are behaving poorly to go about with a bag full of insults.

Darwin confessed many misgivings at first but was quite satisfied he had made the right choice by the end, it seems.

No matter, I’m not a believer in religion; I just hate to see the tone of all these threads turn acriminous.
