Response to Vice President Biden's Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence (Palin Be

Palin's Latest Facebook Note

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.

The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”

This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.

There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

Yours is the most logical conclusion I’ve read....Must be what those 50 Algore lawyers that went to Alaska in ‘08 found out...and used to abuse the system.

Who are your prefered presidential candidates?

Quite honestly, I don't have any at this point ... the choices are pretty abysmal, and I include Sarah Palin in that.

What role do you see for Palin with the GOP?

Right now? Cheerleader, perhaps ... albeit one who will be easily demonized by the MSM. Overall, she might pad the GOP bottom line, but will most likely be a liability among independent voters.

How are the precious independents breaking in the Palin-endorsed Hoffman race?

Besides, with over 40% of the voting public self-identifying as “conservative” instead of “independent”,

it seems that this is the group to solidify,
not the squishy middle.

““Former Vice President”

They just edited part of it out, so he’d seem important. It should read,
“Former Vice President of The Hair Club For Men.”

...Sarah Palin is the head of the Republican Party and the future...

This is apparent to anyone who simply opens their eyes and observes the reality in front of them. She is the de facto leader of the right-conservative (Republican) movement in America.

This was apparent to me, from the first moment she stepped foot on the national stage.

As you well know, Sarah Palin has an image problem with the general public.

That is a huge generality manufactured by the leftist MSM, and you ought to know that if you're a conservative (and a Freeper). Sarah Palin had a 65% approval rating as governor of Alaska. The only "image problem" Sarah has, is with liberal Democrats, and those who are drinking the leftstream media Kool-Aid.

The only way she's going to get out from under it, is to demonstrate that she's a serious person, with serious policies that deserve serious debate.

Demonstrate to who? You? The radical left? Sarah has demonstrated excellent executive skills during her tenure as Alaska Governor, and if you'd been listening, you would know that her fundamental understanding of, and adherence to conservative principles is without peer.

No, Sarah doesn't need to "demonstrate" anything further for most level-headed Americans to know that she's got the capability and the correct orientation to get America back on track.

It's just funny to watch Palin haters snipe from the sidelines about her alleged lack of "seriousness" or "qualifications" to be President. You people are simply repeating The Big Lie for the radical left, and doing their dirty work.

Trust me, when I tell you that it's not working.

I know it because I talk to a lot of people who are not FReepers, and who are not conservative (which doesn't automatically mean, btw, that they're liberals, though some of them are). Their impression of Sarah Palin is informed by their own dislike of her mannerisms and put off by her apparent lack of knowledge about important current events. Her performance during the campaign did not help her in that regard. And, of course, they've seen and enjoyed the uncomfortably accurate portrayals of her by the likes of Tina Fey.

Demonstrate to who? You? The radical left?

To the people whose votes she would need in order to be elected to national office.

This isn't rocket science, FRiend ... it's just a realistic assessment of where Sarah Palin stands right now. She has an image problem that needs to be seriously addressed. Hiding from her problems is not going to solve them.

She's got to lay serious groundwork among the general public, and she's not doing it.

"There you go again."
Ronaldus Magnus

That's yet another unsubstantiated generality from you about what Sarah is, or is not doing. Most of us here will disagree with your allegation, and that's all it is; a baseless allegation.

Repeat the Big Lies of the left all you want, but they won't work here. Most Freepers rely on their own observations to form their opinions - not unsubstantiated mud slinging.
