At the tea party in Washington, D.C., a popular sign read simply, "Impeach Obama."
As a moderator of discussion on the blog www.exposeobama.com, Floyd has observed the discussion of impeachment is mushrooming amongst conservative activists.
Radio personality Tammy Bruce may have captured these activists' beliefs about Obama best: "Uultimately, it comes down to ... the fact that he seems to have, it seems to me, some malevolence toward this country, which is unabated."
But has Barack Obama committed an impeachable offense? What exactly constitutes an impeachable offense? Former President Gerald Ford, while serving in the House of Representatives, said an impeachable offense was "whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history."
Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution reads: "The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."
The key phrase here is "high crimes and misdemeanors," a concept in English common law well-known to our Founding Fathers, but grossly misunderstood in this day and age. "High crimes and misdemeanors" essentially means bad behavior.

Well, Andrew Johnson, who was also a dirtball, wasn’t convicted either, so he and Bubba stand together in history.
LOL! Logical process seems to elude you. So be it, Obama is incompetent and no logical thought process can excuse him.
mirror image of the looney left four years ago. This congress can’t get themselves to even impeach Rangel.
the problem with impeaching the president is that next in line you get biden— who is the most wrong way peach fuzz animal in the world
Nancy will get right on that. Tell Harry and Co to get ready for the trial.
The birth certificate might embarrass Obama but it's doubtful he will step down. It should be pursued anyway for the precedent that no body can assume the Office without showing proof they are eligible.
And even if Judge Carter examines the facts and determines Obama was not eligible, I still doubt Congress will impeach.
I think the most we can hope for, is a fact finding by Carter that Obama was ineligible, a congress that does nothing about it, only to be tossed on their cans in the next election by a populace that is fed up with Obama, his policies and the illegitimacy of his presidency.
In my rose colored world, this doesn't get resolved early but becomes a twofer in the end.
And I quote you on a former post: "As$hole. He can give Billions to his Islamic brothers, but not a cent for those that were willing to protect us from our enemies."
I believe you are just in the mood to spar with someone and that you don't truly believe in your heart that it is purely incompetence. /conversation over
Gee, you win.
E-VERIFY THE OVAL OFFICE /sarc>
Cheers!
Allow me to intervene if you please. Incompetence implies 0 doesn't know what he is doing..... ie inexperience and naivete'. However, 0 knows exactly what he is doing and that is work towards destroying this country.
The law of averages would dictate that if 0 was acting out of complete incompetence, close to 50% of his actions/decisions would benefit this country in some face-value manner and be in the country's best interest.
In contrast to this, the demonstration of near 100% of his decisions being to undermine this country morally, financially, and militarily indicate he is not incompetent, but willfully pursuing a path to establish a socialist government.
And if that storm includes a nuclear winter? What then?
Impeachmement - no impeachment - Won’t make a bit of difference with respect to a nuke going off.
Win 2010 first. Too much impeachment talk before then will mobilize the RATs. Keep that powder dry for 2011 and there will be grounds a-plenty for the “I” word.
Thank you for your interjection. Gives me many things to ponder.
A story from my neighborhood.
I was in a beauty supply store with an adjoining hair salon. The stylist working on the man's hair was complaining about Republicans and conservatives opposing BO's health care plan. "And it's like they WANT him to fail," she sighed loudly. "All those tea party people with their guns, they want the world to end, they want the end to come now... I tell you, we weren't like this when Bush was in office. We didn't like what he was doing, but we didn't oppose him like that..."
And I thought, "Lady, yes you DID."
People have conveniently short memories.
“’High crimes and misdemeanors’ essentially means bad behavior”
This is an exceedingly stupid statement. The entire criminal code could accurately referred to as “essentially bad behavior,” but what benefit is there to saying so? Doesn’t help us understand it any better.
“The law of averages would dictate that if 0 was acting out of complete incompetence, close to 50% of his actions/decisions would benefit this country in some face-value manner and be in the country’s best interest.”
No it wouldn’t.
I don’t know about that. If public opinion was swayed , due to a very public impeachment process, to realize how dangerous Zero is to America’s survival, it just might enable us to get our national defense and intelligence agencies back on track, instead of down the toilet like the DemocRats always do. Overwhelming public opinion can work wonders. It did re: Contract With America during the Clintonista years.
No?
I think it would be great if Biden ascended to the presidency. He'd have to fire some people and install his own team...it'd keep them preoccupied with gamesmanship amongst themselves for at least a few months. The country would get a reprieve.
“Well, Andrew Johnson, who was also a dirtball, wasnt convicted either”
Dirtball or no, he violated a BS law, and it’s a good thing they didn’t walk all over him.
