I am old enough to remember typing on manual typewriters with carbon sets.

Yes, I think that was probably so about as needed...
To be an “original” and not a “copy”
secretly being fueled by Obama SUPPORTERS...OUR CONSTITUTION IS THE SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND.
++++++++++++++
This would have to be the most cynical and malignant person; basically one who disregards the US Constitution as the law of the land. It is that USC that states plainly the requirement of the POTUS and VPOTUS to be ‘natural born citizens.’
One huge issue is what that means...McCain ran into that ambiguity, and the SCOTUS has avoided this issue with a 10 foot pole.
Perhaps the only good thing to come out of this will be for that to be clarified by the SCOTUS, but even that may not happen, as that would require them to weigh in on NBC with all it’s implication related to the 2008 election.
Perhaps the only thing we’ll see is for this issue to come up sooner - if it ever arises again.
That may just be our reality for loving and wanting the truth and the rule of law, in our present untoward circumstances.
Scroll down in this list of Freeper BP2’s posts. There are some explanations there.

Lavender might have been the clerk who typed the BC

Why am I not surprised?
Where did you see that this is “E.F. Lavender”? The caption at the original website where I saw this picture said “Eric Lavender” :)

I’ll be damned. Someone removed the ?.
Yes it is - strictly construed (without ANY empathy from judges or judicial nominees - IF YOU CATCH MY DRIFT)
Although I fail to see your point.
Parentage only matters if you are born outside the United States. See the statute!!!!! It is right in there. McCain was born outside the United States. Read the damn statute.

TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER III > Part I > § 1401Prev | Next § 1401. Nationals and citizens of United States at birth
The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:
(a) a person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof;

(c) a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents both of whom are citizens of the United States and one of whom has had a residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions, prior to the birth of such person;
(d) a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the birth of such person, and the other of whom is a national, but not a citizen of the United States;
(e) a person born in an outlying possession of the United States of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year at any time prior to the birth of such person;

(g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years: Provided, That any periods of honorable service in the Armed Forces of the United States, or periods of employment with the United States Government or with an international organization as that term is defined in section 288 of title 22 by such citizen parent, or any periods during which such citizen parent is physically present abroad as the dependent unmarried son or daughter and a member of the household of a person
(A) honorably serving with the Armed Forces of the United States, or
(B) employed by the United States Government or an international organization as defined in section 288 of title 22, may be included in order to satisfy the physical-presence requirement of this paragraph. This proviso shall be applicable to persons born on or after December 24, 1952, to the same extent as if it had become effective in its present form on that date; and
(h) a person born before noon (Eastern Standard Time) May 24, 1934, outside the limits and jurisdiction of the United States of an alien father and a mother who is a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, had resided in the United States.
Ms. Kerry made sure we understood that she considers herself an African American, rather than an African-American. To her that’s a big difference, but I don’t have enough nuance to understand why.
The other reason to type its because it is the form for a certified copy. I guess they could have ran a copy of the BC and have it re stamped and signed but that would be sloppy plus would bypass the procedures of giving out certified copies.
Administrative functions like to have a proper paper trail. If they didn’t use a certified form that they could not assign a number to it, then they could not keep up with the activity of that function, i.e giving out certified copies on request.
My guess is 47044 is the number of the certified copy.
John
I find this a little confusing too. I did a quick search to see how old Step-Grandmother Sarah is. In an article about the inauguration she was said to be 86. That would put "Mama Sarah's" birth at about 1923.
If we accept that the age given for BHO Senior on the "Kenyan certificate" is more or less correct at 26 when BHO Jr was born, then he was born in about 1935.
If indeed Mama Sarah, as wife #3, witnessed the birth of BHO Senior to wife #2 in 1935, she would have been about 12 years old. I don't know the marriage customs in Kenya at this time, and perhaps she truly was married at 12, but I wonder. Chronologically, it makes more sense to me that she would have been a wife and witness in 1961, at age 38, attending the birth of BHO Junior. At that age she would have been a mature woman and would have had the experience to be helpful at the birth of a baby. I don't doubt she might have married very young, but I would expect women attending a birth would be more mature.
One more item that doesn't add up quite as one might expect . . .
Anybody konw how to pull up a web history of the scribd image - when it was first posted and by whom?
The objections stated in your post are dissolving.
We now know that the use of the term “Republic” was pretty much universal beginning in 1963, and that E.F. Lavender is still alive and in Kenya.
Since the document is a typed fill-in (xerographic copies were to come three years later) based on the data on file, there is nothing about it that is objectively questionable.
Sounds reasonable..
I got a copy of my BC in the 60s...the short form...
It is type written...with the embrossed stamp
