I agree. The seeds were sown many decades before. His anti-slavery stance was but an excuse. My own opinion is that certain hidden interests tried to essentially make the South into a land of serfs (those that weren’t outright slaves, that is) or a colony of the north. When the South, after many years of trade abuse, finally had enough, that’s when the war occurred.

Chris DeHaven, 63, a small-business owner from Birmingham, fervently believes that Obama's election signals a change in race relations. He first became aware of Obama after his grandson, who is biracial, was born three years ago.

A Republican all his life, DeHaven was so persuaded by Obama's message of hope and change transcending race and politics that he signed up for volunteer training at 'Camp Obama' in Atlanta in August 2007. 'There were about 200 of us,' he said. 'Young, old, black and white, all kinds of people were represented, from all over the country.'
DeHaven has continued to try to keep Obama's message of community involvement going. Many of the Alabama volunteers who campaigned for Obama helped organize Change Alabama, a grassroots organization. Change Alabama hopes to build on the organizational effort of the presidential campaign to take on problems within the state, including poverty, tax reform and health care.
'All of us worked in campaigning and knocked on doors. I made an effort to talk to someone new about Obama at least once a day,' he said, adding that he hoped to get some help from the new administration.

I think we are confusing the pansies at DU and KOS with some of the Obama supporters. Not all of them are going to be sissy little mama's boys blogging at 3AM in their parents basements. We are talking about gang members, illegals, terrorist sleeper cells, and anarchists who have been waiting their whole life for this sort of thing to occur.
And do NOT get a concealed weapons permit. That just adds you to a list.
If you are hiding guns for the coming revolution, then you don’t need to carry one now and don’t need a CC permit.
I’ve never had a CC permit. And I’ve carried loaded handguns in my pocket on occasion when I thought I might need it.
I refuse to cower and live in fear. Live as free men with all the rights that God gave us, and don’t worry about “lists”.

If you read the GIVE Act, there is a new emphasis on rehabilitating and reintegrating CRIMINALS through national "service." One day, Mr. Jones is released from the penitentiary. The next day, he is welcomed with open arms into one of the 0bama brigades. What kinds of service is Mr. Jones best qualified to provide? You get the picture.

Given that I know Obama is the ultimate product of Cloward and Piven, I would have to say 1966 when they first wrote their article. Let me see what I can find as far as a copy of that article.
