The Swiss have long had rifleman and target shooting is a big deal. They make nice stuff by SIG too. Our Second Amendment supposedly was influenced by the Swiss model of citizens having arms to protect themselves - see Wm Tell. Made Hitler think twice about going near Switzerland.
The Finns also made the Soviets lives miserable in the Winter War in 1939-1940. A very nasty and almost unknown war. Finns back then were very good marksmen.
A well armed and civilized citizenry is the best protection against tyranny and we are seeing tyranny now.
Good website. I have it bookmarked, and will be looking for an event in my area. I have some female friends who are anxious to learn how to shoot. This sounds ideal for them.
