There are already 4 states, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Arizona and Washington...that are establishing their "Independence" from the Feds.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to describe the image, but other than that I'd like to just leave it out there, without comment by me, and let people take a fresh look.
These are the various "birth"s from the scan that was published (or the image that was purported to be a scan, depending on which side you take). Each of the blocks is 8 by 8 pixels of the jpg. I didn't do any tweaking of the image except to expand it (in a manner that wasn't jpg compression dependent) so that you could still make out the individual pixels in this image, which of course I had to compress as a jpg to post. The blocking is a hint.
There has been a lot of talk about "green" and "halos" and such, but no decent pictures to look at, so I'm posting this clean collection, which I think is better suited to the discussion. So, have at it, guys!
I was sloppy. What I meant to post was "I'd wager that no one on FR knew six months ago ... i.e. when the BC posted on Kos was altered.
Even if the cert did, couldn't they just redact it? Now no one would question why that was redacted for obvious reasons.
Suppose I'm posting this birth certificate. It has a number, a unique identifier that could provide access to ... I don't know what. Rather than put in the research to find out what that number opens the door to, before I put it out to the wide world, I'm likely to err on the side of caution. Especially if I'm on a deadline.
The Occam's Razor answer is that the person posting the photo didn't want it used to access other information. Which would necessarily include verifying it with the state database.
It's a leap to assume that the person who redacted the certificate number knew that there was some specific information he was helping to hide. It is an even farther leap to assume that the certificate number was redacted at the behest of the Obama campaign, especially since they allowed other groups to photograph the certificate with the number unobscured.
You must have placed that grid there for a reason...the letters don’t line up?

I’m not so sure that he is referring to something that will destroy Obama. I have to see the actual quote where he said that. The above could have been referring to the little Tommy incident this week when he withdrew.
Well, they don't line up on the posted image, except as indicated by the grid. The location of the grid (actually they are gaps, I just slid the pieces apart) is pretty typical of jpg images, so I chose those obvious locations. The top two images are from the left column, and the last two from the middle column, of the COLB. If you were to take the COLB and cut it up like you were going to use it to tile your bathroom, that is where the grout lines would be, with tiles that are 8 pixels to a side.
I wanted people to be able to compare adjacent tiles in terms of color, variety of color, and what people have been calling "halo"...
Sorry, I meant to answer this too. I'm not implying anything about the document, except to give a sense as to what information actually is in the published image. In the absence of having the actual paper object in hand (if it exists, which I tend to believe is the case and probably is the one in the photos, but that's another thread) or a reference digital image of that paper object which is trusted, all we have at our disposal to answer the "is it photoshopped or not" question is the published image. As you can see, it isn't a lot to work with.

from these different scams that you have done we can all see that haloing and the various fringes are not natural results of scanning a document into an electronic form, nor are they the result of laser printing because if they were then they would show up on all these images, and since debris on a scanner screen would not create halos around lettering throughout the document, we can only follow the advice of the master detective himself.....

Just as I asked BrerLion for a little guidance, can you help those of us with no background in this type of analysis with what these images represent?
I can see that #2 seems more yellow than #1, that to what appears a lesser extent, the same for #4 than #3, and also for #6 than #5. #4 is also a sharper image.
I have no idea what that means in terms of implication, can you help?
The only way to deal with them is to ignore and not respond to them. Any response at all generates dozens of steaming piles from them. If everyone ignores them, they have only each other to high five.
I did try to go through some of that last night, when looking at BrerLion’s images and some discussions I found elsewhere on the net. I don’t have time to go through 100+ plus pages at your link, and I admit I found what I did read tough going. Sure you could help a little more by giving a summary relative to those particular images, or an approximate place in the material at the link where I can find the information about those specific images?
I completely agree. Last time in frustration I got into it with one the troll in question went running to the mods and I was threatened with suspension. My crime? I posted SCOTUS case summary citations and used the word ‘obot’ once.
