Attn FReepers: The Free Republic Inaugural Ball has been cancelled.
Free Republic | Inaugural Eve, in the year of the Grate ObaMassiah 2009 | Jim Robinson

Sadly, the 3rd Quad-Annual Quadrennial Free Republic Inaugural Ball in DC has been cancelled due to lack of interest. There will be no refunds (seeing as how no tickets were sold - and none offered).

However, now is the time to begin planning a conservative offensive movement.

How many of you would like to attend a two day conference symposium, er "FReepmeet" regarding taking back our country? It's been suggested that if we do this, it should be held in a central location or airline hub like Denver or Dallas so a maximum number of FReepers can attend.

If not us, who? If not now, when?

Please post your ideas to the thread.

That is all.

Great idea, I’d love to go to Dallas but my dialysis schedule is pretty inflexible (husband doesn’t fly, road trips are out for me). Maybe my daughter would enjoy this type of thing.

How about something in conjunction with CPAC?

Count us in for Denver seeing as how it’s just up the road. We could probably swing UT or AZ too.

Free Republic Inaugural Ball in DC has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

But I'm just checking in to my Washington hotel and you're telling me the ball is cancelled!

I’d suggest DC, if only because it’s right at the heart of the problem.

At an airport, we could potentially have to deal with TSA, NTSB, FAA, and local and state authorities. At DC, there’s the Metro police and park police.

My vote is for Fort Worth Texas(next to Dallas). Of course, I am being selfish since I live close by, but you can’t find a more supportive area and it will be fun to do it in the historic stockyards area! Here are some links for those interested:

(a great place to rent out with great food for up to 400 people)

Ah, Fort Worth. An excellent choice indeed. And likely to be a mite more friendly to Freeper types than Dallas.

The Shoot is at the beginning of the month.

Couple of other groups, such as Move America Forward? Invite Ted Nugent and Michelle Malkin, as well as Greta and Laura Ingraham?

We could probably get a few conservative Texas congresscritters to come(if we want them..in an ‘insurgency’..it might not be a good idea..grin).

Whatever place we decide on though...we will do our best to come and help in anyway we can.

Face to Face makes it better to judge the metal of a person. Besides I have met many Freepers on my trips and they are worth the trip for a handshake and fellowship. I have met many new friends that I have freeped with over the years, both in DC and in Crawford.

I picked Dallas because its the most accessible HUB and its in friendly Texas Territory
