ABC News Reporter Jake Tapper's Political Punch Blog has a report on Sen. Barack Obama's push-back on John McCain's description of his tax policies, Tapper begins with a quote from Obama in Florida, here is the whole report:
"The reason that we want to do this, change our tax code, is not because I have anything against the rich," Obama said in Sarasota, Fla., yesterday. "I love rich people! I want all of you to be rich. Go for it. That's the American dream, that's the American way, that's terrific.

Translation: I love taxing rich people. And I want taxes from all of you!
“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,” Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”
The NERVE of me to want to keep most of the money I work hard for and earn everyday....why I’ve been fooling myself this whole time and so selfish!! Bad serf, bad serf...I shall give myself 20 lashings and decrease my tax deductions to give more to my savior, Obama! He has shown me the light.

How DARE Biden tell us we are unpatriotic if we don’t want to pay MORE taxes!
Our taxes ALREADY supply
medicare, social security, law enforcement, legal aid, medicaid, food stamps, public services, roads, schools, libraries, government offices, etc...
to everyone!
Some of us would rather give some of our money to our favorite charities, than BE FORCED TO HAND OVER MORE MONEY to the inefficient government.
It’s also our patriotic duty to pay taxes America!
When Barry accuses me of selfishness I will match my donations of the last 10 years against double what both members of the dem ticket have offered. These are truly stingy men who are only comfortable spending other peoples money.
He lies. Obama needs people to be poor so that they will think that he is Santa Clause 12 times a year.

Selfish? I mean, I guess so, but where the hell do you get off demanding more of MY money, Obama? Who are these people the money is going to? Do they deserve it? NO! People like my cousin, who spent the first 15 years of his adult life on drugs, in and out of jail, now he’s damn near unemployable because of his past record.... but I’m selfish because I don’t want to donate more of my tax dollars to him.
Everybody has the same opportunities right now, but if you make stupid choices, like getting arrested, or having five kids out of wedlock before the age of 22, well, then there are consequences. But not under an Obama Administration, oh no! Selfish, stupid jerks like me, who worked hard, did the right things, are just going to have to pony up. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr............
So now low taxes are not only unpatriotic, but selfish.
There has got to be a killer ad to be produced from this combo platter of tax gaffes.
Selfish is envying everyone who has more than you. Obamatrons are consumed with envy, the driving vice of class warfare.
It takes a stainless steel set of balls to call anyone selfish when you’re a millionaire and your brother lives in a hut on $1 a month, your grandmother’s living in hut with a dirt floor and no running water and the aunt you exploited in your book is living in one of the worst public housing projects in Boston.
There are certainly many who will think that. You and I will say, "Bah Humbug" when he comes around!

I am not selfish I just don’t want the government taking the money I have earned and doing with it what they want. I would prefer to give it to causes I choose.
