Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

OK; I've seen a lot of the bull that gets passed along as being valid by folks that should know better, so I dug out some info from my brother and then hit the American Consular Site at Hamilton, Bermuda for verification.

A child born outside the United States or one of its outlying possessions to U.S. citizen parent(s) and your U.S. citizen parent(s) meets the * physical presence requirements.

* Physical Presence

This is the actual time when the parent was physically present in the United States, not simply as a resident. This means that any travel outside the United States, including vacation, should be excluded. Evidence or proof of physical presence/residence is required. This can be demonstrated by providing documents such as school transcripts, W2 (tax returns). The consular officer will determine whether or not you have met the requirements and demonstrated adequate physical presence.

Note: Any periods of time spent overseas with the United States Military/Government etc. may be computed as physical presence in the United States for transmission of citizenship purposes. Time spent as a dependent of a United States Military/Government employee may also be computed as physical presence. Military records may be requested.

To claim the child under US Laws, you not only need to provide parental citizenship, but also parental residency compliance. If Obama's Mother did not maintain her residency then there are other hoops for them to jump through that allows him to be a Naturalized Citizen, and unqualified for the Presidency.

Let us not forget that the US Code does not define the Constitution. The Constitution defines itself in accordance with the intentions of the framers.

I am certain that the founders wanted to ensure that the president of the United States did not have mixed loyalties and hence the requirement of being a Natural Born Citizen would imply that the person must be born under the sovereign jurisdiction of the United States of America. I am not certain that simply because Obama's mother was a United States Citizen, that makes any child she bears while domiciled outside the United States a "Natural Born Citizen".

The fact that he has not provided a copy of his actual birth certificate suggests to me that he was not born in the United States. Even if that were irrelevant to his constitutional qualifications, it would certainly be relevant to the electorate in deciding whether or not to elect him.

Obama needs to come clean on this one.

It doesn't matter where Obama was born. If his mother was a US citizen, then he is.

No, by law, that is not correct. It may seem like a technicality, I know, since his mother was a US citizen, and under today's law, he would be a natural-born citizen. But the law in 1961 was different, and was not without reason. Think of it - his father was a citizen of Kenya and his mother was (by law at the time) a minor. If she gave birth to him in his father's homeland, he is not a natural born US Citizen, and is not qualified to serve as President.

If all those things are true, this will be a very strange and tumultuous election year. Had the forged birth certificate only been posted on Kos, Obama could still ignore all of this, but it was posted on his own site, as well, so it is a real scandal.

Look, DG, I think a lot of the commentary on some of these threads can get a little over-wrought at times, too, but in reality, this issue is very much under the radar in the MSM. From my perspective, it has not been overwhelming the election threads on FR, either.

This new admission, I believe, forces the Obama campaign to respond in some way. If their only response is simply to remove the fake BC, the issue grows. If they respond with a legitimate birth certificate, it's over.

I hope everyone doesn't get bogged down about his place of birth. I think it quite probable he was born in Hawaii - I think it is OTHER information on his real BC that he doesn't want to see the light of day...

Also, there's the matter of his parents races.

His mother is listed as "Caucasian" but his father's as "African."

"African" is not a race...Teresa Heinz Kerry is "African", having been born there - as are millions of others of all colors and races.

What? The BC has, to say the least, been proven to have been tampered with. I posted a statement regarding the document taken straight from the Obama website, where it is maintained to be genuine. For the record. I doubt if it will be there for much longer.
