We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
That wasn't what I meant to say, and I apologize. I did NOT mean that a lot of the women got mean all of the sudden. I'm not sure what I meant, it was supposed to be something about how I was realising a lot of the Rudy supporters were women, but I've hardly had any sleep the last two days so I'll just apologize again and slink away.
True.
In the past, the conservative movement has been most successful when all three groups have gotten along. Obviously, there will be sincere disagreements from time to time—that is in the nature of conservatism.
But when we are at our best, we realize that the true enemy is not the guy who is less conservative than you want him to be, but the across-the-board liberal who would like to destroy us all.

Maybe here... or above?

Thank you. I guess I might need to reboot. :-)
Well, he was being pretty combative for a newbie. That raises eyebrows. Even if he wasn’t a retread, it still would have been smart for him not to get so involved right away. Oh well.
“If he has good campaign handlers, they can deflect and diminish the damage he caused, but I think he crippled his campaign”
In other words, his “spin doctors” can LIE for him : )
McCain and Feingold are the Father's of CFR.
Good evening CM...
I'm the "simpleton"?! You're the one who fell for it. Admit it. And it was right there InPlainSite.
>>Vote Rudy! Annoy a wingnut.
>Are you calling Jim a wingnut? Or just those of us with character?
Since “wingnut” is what the DUmmies call us, I wear the epithet as a badge of honor. Reclaiming the word, if you will.
How’s that sound to you, O spawn of cicero?
Dear God, I thank you for Trussell and I ask that you heal her heart and bless her for her strength. I also ask that whoever it was that did this terrible thing would know deep in his soul how wrong it was. Please use Trussell’s experience, strength and hope to guide others and help them.
Ron Paul has always been pro-life. The man delivered babies, for crying out loud.
Most Libertarians are pro-life as well.
The only advantage I saw with Rudy (except for the fact that he would have been no-nonsense on terrorism and therefore immigration) was that I think he, more than any other candidate, has the ability to siphon New York away from Hellary.
For that reason, I have long thought he would be a better VP option, with a strong conservative in the #1 slot.
I still don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. If that’s cowardly, then you’ll never know what it takes to strap on a a few hand grenades, an M-16, and go running out of the back of a Bradley in the face of enemy fire.
I did it. Did you?
You can call me any name you want, but DON’T EVER CALL ME A COWARD AGAIN.
Are we starting to get on the same wavelength?
Nothing concrete. Here her last “opus” said she had just “met” Rudy at an event and was sold on him even more.
I went to WideAwake, and there was a thread about how at an event in Oklahoma Rudy got a phone call while in a meeting and got up and never came back.
PKM posted a little later with details of the meeting, saying she had been helping at the meeting and thought she knew who the person was who leaked the info. It was an expensive event not open to the public (couple thousand a plate),and PKM didn’t strike me as the kind of person who would PAY that much for an event, so my presumption is she was there as a staff person for her area.
I realise though she might have just been help from the local committee. She just talked like someone who was in-the-know, also people were pinging her to the discussion so others thought she should know and have “official” answers.
It wasn’t in the smoky back room over there, it was in the open. probably a mistake on their part.
