Well, you're dead wrong. My prior statement does not work when we no longer hold the najority. Electing the liberal Rudy Giuliani to the presidency will make the government MORE liberal not less. President Bush did more than hold the line on many conservative issues. He actually advanced many of our causes. The abortionist, gay rights supporting, gun grabbing Giuliani working with a Democrat controlled congress will erase those gains and set back our efforts many years. The damage he will do to the conservative movement will be irreversible. He'll turn the Republican party into a joke. Best stop him now while we can. After he's elected to the presidency, the GOP won't lift a finger to stop him. And we conservatives will be branded traitors to the GOP when we speak out against him. And we will. Loudly. You think this fight is rough? It's nothing to compared to what's yet to come.

Sure it does. Conservatism didn't work hard enough in the last election, that conservatism lost a half dozen candidates in the aftermath of the 2006 elections.

The damage he will do to the conservative movement will be irreversible.

Again, conservatism didn't work hard enough in the last election, that conservatism lost a half dozen candidates in the aftermath of the 2006 elections. And we conservatives will be branded traitors to the GOP when we speak out against him. And we will. Loudly. You think this fight is rough? It's nothing to compared to what's yet to come.

You yell as loud as you want, just don't yell at me or anyone else here when more ground is lost. Lastly, don't lecture me about "being branded a traitor", you've branded so many as such, just for supporting candidates you dislike.

There is no denying we all have a common goal, we're all just reaching that goal from different directions.

"You think this fight is rough? It's nothing to compared to what's yet to come."

Again, you are absolutely correct and it won't be filled with diplomacy and civility all the time, either!!!

In fact, sadly, many long-time FRiends will part company. It's happening not only on sites like this, but even in cities and counties and Republican Central Committees all over the nation at this very time, my FRiend!

No one remembers the intra-party battles over slavery and the Civil War, which wasn't civil either!!! No one enjoys the discomfort of disagreement, but it's not necessary for us to all become totally disagreeable, either. It takes effort to keep from stepping over the line and you are exercising prudent judgement. My attitude here is improving moment by moment. I love unbridled, undiluted, unabashed CONSERVATISM!!!

Your original post and following statements should lead us all to recognize that Mr. Guliani is NOT the candidate of choice for our Conservative representation.

Instead of looking backwards, we need to be looking forward to supporting the Conservative Presidential candidate that can fight for our Conservative agenda. Make no mistake, and very simply put, do you want a candidate that will no doubt sell us all out for the sake of his ego?

Facts are facts, history is history, and Rudy Guliani has a ton of past history to answer for. Let’s not talk among ourselves about Mr. Guliani’s past. Let’s ask him for the truth. And then, when the truth is known, we can ask the next candidate for the truth.

Let us all ask for the truth about each candidate that claims to want to lead our Country. Our future depends on knowing who will lead.
