OK, now things are getting weird.
This Reuters photograph shows blatant evidence of manipulation. Notice the repeating patterns in the smoke; this is almost certainly caused by using the Photoshop “clone” tool to add more smoke to the image. (Hat tip: Mike.)
It’s so incredibly obvious, it reminds me of the faked CBS memos. Smoke simply does not contain repeating symmetrical patterns like this, and you can see the repetition in both plumes of smoke. There’s really no question about it.

You know, this is so blatant I wonder if the photographer/editor did it on purpose to expose Reuters. Seriously, I or my 14 year old can do a better job by far than this and we've only got Jasc's PSP.

Rooters is a joke. I would trust nothing from them. Not even sports scores.

Reuters should put in a little more time and try to take some pride in their work. This is a poor effort.

what may happen starting from *NOW* is that the pajamahadin and the blogs may shame reuters for doing it, reverse the effect, and continue to undermine the credibility - but in most of the US and the rest of the world, the damage is already done, and reuters will continue to feed mush to the sheeple, who will continue to lap it up...

The plumes don't seem to match what would be the air flow pattern.
The left plume seems to be the main source -- rising with a slight left to right air flow pattern.
So, where did the middle and right patterns originate? The air flow from the left plume would not create the center plume. The center plume would have had to rise from a source to the right of the main plume source.
As the main (left) plume would rise, it would be continuous as it spreads out in the upper right portion of the image. It would not crease a standalone plume (middle) to its right.
I am not sickened by it. I am ecstatic they are exposing themselves in such an obvious way. I have used the clone tool too. I am not an expert, but I doubt whether smoke does that herring-bone look in two places at once.

The square areas could be JPEG compression artifacts. But that wouldn't explain the pattern of the smoke eddies at the top.
So, you are saying that the picture of Monsieur Jean Francois Kerry as the frankenstein monster has to be considered real since we haven't seen the original?

The smoke on the left in transparent. I can see apartments/offices through it. I don't think I should be able to see through smoke that black.
I don't see that, but the middle column of smoke has a herringbone pattern, a sign of cloning.
