what may happen starting from *NOW* is that the pajamahadin and the blogs may shame reuters for doing it, reverse the effect, and continue to undermine the credibility - but in most of the US and the rest of the world, the damage is already done, and reuters will continue to feed mush to the sheeple, who will continue to lap it up...

I disagree. In the face of the recent accusations that photos from the building collapse killing 57 women and children were staged , the AP and Reuters denied vociferously that they would ever alter an existing news event and took umbrage at the accusation. This photo is absolute proof that this media outlet knowingly and willingly doctors the news in favor of known terrorists. This picture will not go away and will cast aspersions on the coverage of the entire war on terror. They will not be able to refute this evidence. Also, I would venture to bet that we will find many more examples of this type of deception.
