A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have

registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens

and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we

can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and

congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest

writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

On Mondays please visit us to see photos of color=000030 face=arial size=2>A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in

FR mail.

We're having fun and hope you are!

I don't know what I'd change my name to. Besides, I kind of like it. It helps solidify my "weird and unique" status.

Love the picture. So sorry about the loss.

I know what you mean about getting into bed with the covers over her. We had a Boston Terrier that had to have a pillow and be "tucked in" with her cover every night. Ha.

good to have you with us LucyJo! almost all of us have pets who are regular posters here & we usually don't wait for a pet thread to shamelessly show off our "kids"

Here are a few shots of my "sons" Oliver & Toby. I have one major walk with them a day (several hours) of major running. these shots are after church. Behind the facility is a golf course surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods. I have been posting the same pix over & over & it is about time to get more new ones out. Problem is that Toby is hard to "shoot" .......he is very fast

Above.. the profile is Oliver (4 year old) watching Toby.. the "youngster"

Here is the terrain we go in. Up & down couple hundred foot ravines, thru rivers. They are always a mess afterward but they are tired & have had fun

Here are the "mighty hunters" with prolly a ground squirrel. They eventually give up as the critters do not want to come out & play & no matter how much they dig at bark or chew on it, the little guys are protected.

Boy isn't that the truth. I've personally been with Dolly several times and she has more energy then any 20 year old!

Well, good thing wolfie has four paws, she can't out-run him. : )

Wolfie would never neglect *you*, you're blond AND perky. : )

Okay...now don't push it or the other sistahs might get a little jealous!!!! :o)

Sometimes wolfie spins a tale. LOL

All of the *Babes* are most beautiful, perky, witty and WOLFIES! LOL

This is Mortimer, we got him about 8 weeks ago.

Correction 4 1/2 weeks. Misread the date that went with that photo.

Nope but close, she is half Lab and half Chow and a genius!

No pix, I'm a techno dunce. Named "Striper", slender gray striped tabby. She'd always take walks with me where ever I would go (on the property) and vocalize like I've never heard in any other cat.

We live where there are many predators, so she likely got eaten. Over quickly, anyway.

I know that the soul riding in her cat form still lives, she just went somewhere else! She was a nice friend.

They are wonderful but surely more work than my cats over the years. I have many kitites also. do rescue

Dogs do require more attention. It's because they are actually a variety of wolf, and wolves are pack animals. You have to become their pack leader. Cats. OTOH are not pack animals, although domestic cats aren't as anti social as the big cats, and some smaller wild cats, like bobcats or ocelots. Still they can generally take or leave company, more often choosing solitude. You must serve them, rather than be their master/mistress.

This is a Great Thread, Dutchess, I Love it! Thank you for Uplifting my Day with these Adorable Pictures!

I Wish I would have had a Digital Camera while I still had my Kitty, the Fang-Face. He had a Ferocious-Sounding Name, but he was a Sweet Kitty, and Cute, too!

Have a Blessed and Beautiful Thanksgiving Everyone!

Yes, animals are people too :-) And sometimes, dog owners like me do wacky things....LOL, I had a shower curtain custom made with a caricature of my pup Lucy on it with her favorite toys. Just recently painted my bathroom and put up border paper (matches the sailboats on the curtain) Well, here it is...

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, All.
