More surprises from Alan Dershowitz.
As I posted yesterday, in comments on Court TV, Dershowitz made clear he believes Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided and that the right of privacy does not extend to abortion.
Today, Dershowitz offered up these two comments:
1. He would like W to nominate GOP Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah to the Supreme Court, calling Hatch "a true conservative and not a statist."
2. He was been very impressed by Roberts' testimony and thinks that he is also a true conservative, which he meant as a compliment.
Interesting, no?

Please not another milktoast feeble republican. But after all, now Bush will nominate a one-legged deaf muslim woman to the court.

I can't really say where Dersh stands, other than he obviously takes pride in marching to his own drummer.

I think Bush should have gotten back at the libs by nominating Mark Levin for Chief Justice.
The hearings would be MUST SEE TV at its best. Kennedy would yell so much he may have a heart attack and there would be one less lib to deal with.

Is Alan bi-polar? No, he's just an a old-time Liberal, not a stooge of the radical leftist NARAL or the looting Trial Lawyer's lobby. It's not that I ever agreed much with them on social policy, but they were not "evel" or anti-American. There's not many real liberals left anymore like Pat Monoyhan or Scoop Jackson or Hubert Humphrey. Their party was stolen lock-stock and barrel by the maggot infested trust-fund 60s hippies.

I think even a tenured professor at Harvard can be fired for this kind of heresy. All kidding aside, I really don't see this kind of remark being tolerated at Harvard. Is he still on the faculty?
