Byron York of The National Review had a great article yesterday about the devolution of the MoveOn Katrina Victims protest at the White House.
Dana Milbank of the Washington Post also wrote about MoveOn's troubled demonstration.
However, apparently both these fine observers of the scene had departed when the worst part of the MoveOn protest happened.
As Angelwood and I stood talking and debating with malingering MoveOn protesters, a man standing about twenty or thirty feet away from us was giving an interview with an independent D.C. journalist.
I recognized the man as a long time liberal activist from Florida whom we had first met during the build up to the impeachment of President Clinton.
Then, he was defending Bill Clinton, now he's trying to draft his wife Hillary to run for president herself.
It took a while for the man's name to come to mind. It was Bob...something.
As he was giving the interview, the man became agitated and started speaking in a loud voice. He welled up into a tirade and blurted out, "FReepers should be shot!"
I was looking at him as he said this, as his loud voice was naturally drawing the attention of those within ever-growing earshot as his decibel level grew.
Knowing he was out on the political hustings and has been on TV shows and been quoted many times in the press, I asked him if he had just said that we (Freepers) should be shot . I thought maybe he'd take it back and try to excuse himself for being so worked up.
But no, he responded, "Yes, you should be shot!"
He walked away after that. The police did nothing.
Angelwood and I left soon after. The man's name finally came to me. Bob Kunst, president of Hillary Now.
I suppose he's lucky the TV cameras were long gone by then. But there is an audiotape. There was a microphone right in his face when he yelled out, "Freepers should be shot!"
You're nice.
I was working on "I love b*tch tree note."
Ravenous beasts, they're not a problem, they're a resource waiting to be harvested - yummers! BBQ'ed, roasted, whatever.
And anything tastes good when deep fried and served with Chinese Pineapple Sweet & Sour sauce.
;-)
Second American Civil war bump to myself......
This has gone way beyond liberalism. These people are not liberal. They are hateful, God hating, dangerous thugs. We need to stop bunching them in with real liberals and maybe call them what they are.
Socialist elites can only win by force. Take a look at some of their laws they drafted -- and NEVER FORGET ELIAN and the victims of WACO!
They'd never get a shot off if the right people were around.
Kristinn: "You hate him."
Smiling man: "Why do we hate him?"
Kristinn was thrown off guard by that. We need a bumper sticker answer to that question. Why do the liberals hate Bush? Personally, I think it's because he's a Christian. He's to them like the cross is to a vampire.
They are hypocrites who exempt themselves. They want to take your gun away. But they want to keep their own and/or their bodyguard's gun. Like Carl Rowan and Rosie O'Donnell.
I'll bet that "candidate for President" Hillary Clinton does not appreciate knowing that one of her more visible supporters*** is on tape saying, "Freepers should be shot"
Kunst has damaged his own reputation.
And Hillary's reputation could be damaged if Kunst appears to be a semi-official spokesperson for her.
*** As an example....Kunst appeared on Tucker Carlson's show as a spokesperson for her candidacy.
To paraphrase an old song, "Kunst is busting out... all over."
Results 1 - 10 of about 354 for "hillary clinton" "bob kunst". (0.20 seconds)
Kunst even made it into a "photo of the week" at GWU
There's definitely something to that assertion.
I am absolutely convinced the left will not give up abortion without spilling blood, no matter decisive their defeat in the political realm.
Good one!
Thats exactly what I was thinking
does he really have aids?
LOL!!!
Kunst probably committed a criminal act. I learned this second hand. A business partner was threatened and his family was threatened with death by a business associate. Because of his slightly more than casual mob ties, the threat was considered assault (I think that's correct)because he had the means (without doing it himself?). As someone in Kunst's power position with Hillary, the anti-American left and union/mob connections, the same should hold true.
More than once when I encounter the more obnoxious Dems during DC Chapter FReeps, I've told them, "We have the White House, the Senate, and House, but you do have a has-been actor playing President on the West Wing TV show, now on its last legs."
The libs, especially the DU types, want Socialism so badly that the present situation makes them physically ill. Not only do they have *no* legislative power, but one bill, one judge, at a time we are undoing over thirty years of what they consider "progress". They know that even if Hillary gets elected, they will likely not get the Congress back, and their most optimistic estimates for undoing what we have wrought will be measured in decades. The damage we have done to liberalism since 1994 is immeasurable, and the GOP train is still rolling. They are in a state of panic and fractures have been showing in their composure for years.
The talk about "red states" and "blue states" is not just talk; it is very real, and there are far more red states than blue states. The leftists have *lost* the south.
Stop and take a deep breath, and then repeat it: they have *lost the South*.
Even if they should squeak in a Presidential victory, they will *never* see legislative power ever again. They might be outwardly in denial, putting a brave face on things for morale and public consumption, but make no mistake: that fact is not lost on them. They will never change their tune because they truly believe in Socialism, so the only way they can ever win is to hide their true selves. This is impossible with places like FR keeping watch, and so all they have left is contempt and hatred--of those who will not subscribe to their worldview and especially of those who prevent them from fooling people into buying into it.
only a couple of dozen come to mind
