Hillary Now Leader at MoveOn White House Protest: "Freepers Should be Shot"
Friday, September 9, 2005 | Kristinn

Posted on 09/08/2005 11:26:04 PM PDT by kristinn

Byron York of The National Review had a great article yesterday about the devolution of the MoveOn Katrina Victims protest at the White House.

Dana Milbank of the Washington Post also wrote about MoveOn's troubled demonstration.

However, apparently both these fine observers of the scene had departed when the worst part of the MoveOn protest happened.

As Angelwood and I stood talking and debating with malingering MoveOn protesters, a man standing about twenty or thirty feet away from us was giving an interview with an independent D.C. journalist.

I recognized the man as a long time liberal activist from Florida whom we had first met during the build up to the impeachment of President Clinton.

Then, he was defending Bill Clinton, now he's trying to draft his wife Hillary to run for president herself.

It took a while for the man's name to come to mind. It was Bob...something.

As he was giving the interview, the man became agitated and started speaking in a loud voice. He welled up into a tirade and blurted out, "FReepers should be shot!"

I was looking at him as he said this, as his loud voice was naturally drawing the attention of those within ever-growing earshot as his decibel level grew.

Knowing he was out on the political hustings and has been on TV shows and been quoted many times in the press, I asked him if he had just said that we (Freepers) should be shot . I thought maybe he'd take it back and try to excuse himself for being so worked up.

But no, he responded, "Yes, you should be shot!"

He walked away after that. The police did nothing.

Angelwood and I left soon after. The man's name finally came to me. Bob Kunst, president of Hillary Now.

I suppose he's lucky the TV cameras were long gone by then. But there is an audiotape. There was a microphone right in his face when he yelled out, "Freepers should be shot!"

The leftists know, from decades of experience, that the only way in which they can get their ideas and policies implemented throughout a given nation is by force. Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Che, all leftists with a violent streak.

"President Bush said my son died in a noble cause,
and I want to ask him what that noble cause is."

Cindy Sheehan

Cindy : Iraq Freedom is the noble cause.
No longer do I fear the butcher Saddam Hussein murdering my children!

President Bush Remembers Halabja
Saturday, 15 March 2003
President's Radio Address (Remembering Halabja)
"This weekend marks a bitter anniversary for the people of Iraq.
Fifteen years ago, Saddam Hussein's regime ordered a chemical weapons attack on a village in Iraq called Halabja. With that single order, the regime killed thousands of Iraq's Kurdish citizens. Whole families died while trying to flee clouds of nerve and mustard agents descending from the sky. Many who managed to survive still suffer from cancer, blindness, respiratory diseases, miscarriages,
and severe birth defects among their children..."

Anyone who thinks Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane
aren't behind the anti war crowd
needs to get a clue.
Remember the slaughter and torture of the people of Viet Nam by the communists
while Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane cheered their commie buddies!

President Bush already met with Cindy Sheehan in June 2004 for 10 minutes.

Sorry to be off topic, but I've joined Rush 24/7, and have a question. What does Dittos refer to?

Hey, fanfan! Mega new 24/7 subscriber dittoes!

I don't know this for sure, so don't quote me...but I think it is a reference to the opinion that many of the "mainstream media" types have of Rush, that he just preaches to the choir, and his listeners are just a bunch of mind-numbed robots who get their marching orders from a...well, you fill in the blank.

And since they all agree (anyone who thinks that doesn't listen to the show), they all effectively say "ditto" ("right", or "I agree with that"). So Rush's fans took it as a badge of honor, which either got its cue from, or gave a cue to, Rush. Hence the "Dittocam", the "Dittoheads", etc.

Enjoy the experience! BTW, you should try the podcasting thing. He has much more "on the pod" than just a month's backlog of shows, and now that portable CD players and car stereos are available to play MP3 files, you can literally create a "Limbaugh Library", with months' worth of shows on one CD.

"what would happen if FReepers shouted "Hillary should be shot"?

It would be BREAKING NEWS on all the networks, wall-to-wall coverage on CNN and MSNBC, top story in tomorrow's newspapers, followed by Nancy Pelosi calling for a Congressional resolution condemning Free Republic.

Other than that, not much reaction.

Mega dittoes to you too!

Thanks for the explanation.

My DH and I listen to the pod casts every night on the way home, as we have a one hour drive home. The second hour is for the drive into work in the morning.
We love it. When we do get a chance to listen during the day, I absolutely love the commercials.....The Spatula Store is my favorite.

Snidely, see post #326.

that woman must be the incomparable Angelwood.

It didn't even occur to me until reading this thread today that the lady mentioned in the story was Angelwood. She was nice enough to mail me a copy of the Washington Times back when we did the Clinton Impeachment ad.

From what I've seen of liberals trying to show how "evil" guns are, they're more likely to shoot themselves or their allies than anyone they're actually intending to shoot.

Stop worrying about CW2 and just be prepared for it.
I don't like the idea anymore than you do, but it's coming.
