NY TIMES INVESTIGATES ADOPTION RECORDS OF SUPREME COURT NOMINEE'S CHILDREN
**Exclusive**
The DRUDGE REPORT has uncovered a plot in the NEW YORK TIMES' newsroom to look into the adoption of the children of Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts.
The TIMES has investigative reporter Glen Justice hot on the case to investigate adoption records of Judge Roberts two young children, Josie age 5 and Jack age 4, a top source reveals.
Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants.
Both children were adopted from Latin America.
A TIMES insider claims the look into the adoptions are part of the paper's "standard background check."
Roberts young son Jack delighted millions of Americans during his fathers Supreme Court nomination announcement ceremony when he wouldnt stop dancing while the President and his father spoke to a national television audience.
Previously the WASHINGTON POST Style section had published a story criticizing the outfits Josies and Jacks mother had them wear at the announcement ceremony.
One top Washington official with knowledge of the NEW YORK TIMES plans declared: Trying to pry into the lives of the Roberts family like this is despicable. Childrens lives should be off limits. The TIMES is putting politics over fundamental decency.
One top Republican official when told of the situation was incredulous. This cant possibly be true?
Developing...
That would make a great NY Post headline!
After the Kerik situation don't you think the administration looked into anything that could possibly be an issue? Believe me, I am sure they asked about the abortion and got a satisfactory answer from Roberts. There is nothing to worry about here.
I think he probably did use his status to get an edge. Upperclass and white is a definate advantage in doing business in Latin America. That's just how it is there. The media wants to make big news about something lots of people already know.
"They do not fit the stereotype of the Italian"
That's my point about Hispanics. It's not a "race," it's a point of origin and a language. I don't often criticize Americans, but we're incredibly dumb about this, thinking that they're all Mexicans, when even a cursory look would negate that belief. Some are "white," many more, a majority perhaps, are of mixed origin, and some are "black."
I found that thread by googling roberts/children/adopted/latin because I had not heard that before, and was wondering from where. I've heard of blondes/redheads in southern Mexico, but not the other countries in Latin America. Mere curiosity on my part, mere hatred on theirs.
For the first time in my life I wish I was a lawyer so I could file lawsuits on behalf of these children.
I have to say Roberts is not the strong conservative I was hoping for, but it goes well beyond the pale when you go after adopted kids to try and find a story. This is a happy family, and the NYT should be ashamed of itself.
I don't think the same rules apply in foreign countries. Also, look at Atkins, Rush, etc.

The NYT is now trying to get 4 and 5 year old orphans deported out of the country as a way of hurting the adoption father.
This is low even for the NYT. The NYT really needs to be shut down.
I worked with a lady whose daughter and son-in-law adopted 2 kids from Columbia. The girl has black hair but the mom is Italian so she really blends into the family. The boy is very dark tho, like a native. They were ecstatic just to be able to be parents.
There is an association made up of parents who have adopted children from Latin America. There are people from Scandinavian countries who do so also. It's all about wanting children and loving them. It's called LAPA, and IMO they should be vocal about this. I'll do some research.
When I was with a mission team in Guatemala last May, we spotted, among all the black haired children, a cute little girl with blonde curls and blue eyes. We also met an oriental-looking bank clerk, who assured us he was born in Guatemala. We were told that there were several waves of immigration to Guatemala, some European, some from the Orient, who mixed with the native population over the centuries.
Another 'high tech lynching?' .

No, this is an invasion of privacy. The New York Hags have not right to investigatee small children. This bunch of Commies are a disgrace.
Yep - the Times wanted this made public - now the question becomes why. So far the intimidation angle is the one that makes the most sense.
Drudge Report has uncovered...... lol. It really has to make you laugh.
There are many, many blonds living in Latin America, and many people who are not of Hispanic descent (there are many blond Spaniards, too, incidentally - many Latin Americans are dark because of Indian or African heritage, not the Spanish component).
I would also suspect that there are probably homes for unwed mothers there that European women who do not want to abort go to in order to get away from the pro-abortion pressure in their home countries. One of the things that certain pro-life organizations do is provide places for middle and upper-class European/American women to stay while they have their babies. Most homes run by pro-life groups are directed at poorly educated young women from underclass or very troubled backgrounds, and ignore the fact that abortion is rampant among middle-class, middle- aged women - who are under a lot of pressure and have no place to go.
Many of them give the babies up for adoption afterwards, but one of the problems is that the pro-abortion lobby has worked very hard to make American (and most European) adoption law so anti-adoption that this is becoming harder and harder.
Adoption is something the pro-abortionists despise. Remember this. They are trying to destroy it here by making it conditional. You never know when drug-addicted mother, absent father, or the court on its own volition is going to surface and take the child away from you.
