I've got nothing more to add, but the 'birdie' has not steered me wrong yet. I post what I was told for discussions sake, if the Mods dont want it, they know what to do with it.

The way Frist energized lying Senators like Durbin, today, was disgusting.

A little birdie says Frist traded Stem Cells for Specter's support for expedited Roberts hearings. IF that is true .. then Frist lost, because the last I heard ... not only have the hearing been pushed back once .. they may be pushed back again

I think barring a political disaster, this should just about guarantee the 2008 nomination to George Allen.

Something about this rings true.
I suppose this is Specter's repayment for the president's support in the primary.</sarcasm>

then frist is more of a wimp than I thought. They could of told Specter to go pound salt and chosen someone else to head the judiciary committee, there is no law that fulfilled Specter's seat. Come to think of it, there is nothing in the Constitution that states there has to be a judiciary committee.

If Cheney doesn't run in 2008, there will be a demonRAT in the Whitehouse...and you can take that to the bank - also.
It will be the will of mainstream media that will cause it to happen.

Cheney will NOT run in 2008. Come on, how about a friendly bet?

If this is true Bush can only blame himself. He should have never supported that old RINO Specter.

Like I said, if Cheney doesn't run, there's a demonRAT in the Whitehouse, and GOP loses seats in both houses. Given that scenario - which I unfortunately believe, the country's economy takes a deep dive (the media and the demonRATs lay it at the feet of Bush and his policies) and 2010's mid terms give both houses back to the demonRATs.
So, while you're looking for a 'friendly wager' - I'm squirling away what little I have to weather the storms that will come to be if Cheney/Rice choose not to save the GOP.

You've got your mind made up....one problem: you're wrong, Cheney will NOT run in 2008. Are you that naive to think that his serious health problems wouldn't become a major issue in the campaign?
The political landscap will be different, including the media....3 years is an eon in regards to the internet. Even more people will have turned away from TV and go to internet/blogs/FR to get their news. The conservative base will be rabid for a REAL conservative, border controls, etc.
George Allen could win

Exactly.

You've not been paying attention to anything; I gather.
Cheney has said since 2000, that he would NOT run for president And so has his wife.
Rice doesn't want top be the president; she wants to be the football commissioner...or whatever it's called.
And since we have no idea who is even going to run in the HOP '98 presidential primaries, your patently ridiculous predictions are worthless; not to mention silly in the extreme.
To: Pukin Dog
Not anymore he aint. Watch. He's not that big a fool. I agree, but I think he was toast long before this anyway. Apart from his stance on this research, he's a Senator with all the exciting charm of Hubert Humphrey.
If the GOP wants to retain the Whitehouse, they need to put up someone who was a likable governor. George Allen or Bill Owens come to mind.
