Someone on here posted a link to official documents from Pres Bush's jacket and look what I found -- I knew the heading for the Wing was wrong and this proves it:

Here is the address on an official letter:

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE
HEADQUARTERS 147TH FIGHTER WING (TANG)
ELLINGTON AIR FORCE BASE, TEXAS 77030

vs the forgery

11th Fighter Intercept Squadron
P. O. Box 34567
Houston, Texas 77034

Note the second one did not contain (TANG) following and there is not post office box number only the name of the AFB in the official document. I have talked to numerous people I know from that time frame and not one remembers a post office box being used stateside and all you ever put in the address was the unit and the AFB with state and zip. If you wanted it to go to a specific office, you could put the name of the unit/CC or whatever office symbol they had. No street addresses were necessary in the 70's. That is a recent occurance in the Air Force.

If the White House is entering the fray, it is because the issue is one of legality, not the politics... it means that whoever did this is guilty of a felony.

Well, someone needs to be put on the chopping block for this. I can't imagine anyone being so stupid today to try to pull something like this off. Desperation leads to desperate measures, I guess.

Fox News said that the WH wants to find out who did this, and Fox News said they do too. Fox is also investigating.

Hopefully, we will all learn the name and face(s) of who is behind this.

My money is on Kerry. He has a history of leaking, coercion, and lying.

My money is still on Hillary. She has a history of using secret documents and hiring clumsy thugs to do her dirty work (Craig Livingstone and FBI files anyone? Rose Law firm records in the White House?). She has motive to discredit Kerry's campaign and the means and opportunity to get the documents into the campaign with lots of nodding heads at the necessary meetings (her people are installed in Kerry's campaign). Unfortunately, she also has a history of getting away with murder.

What I would love to see is for CBS to finger Hillary. It would be the end of her chances for 2008.

"They are asserting it's Karl Rove. Why would the Republicans do this?"

The Republicans wouldn't. The Dems are in panic mode, and America knows it.

Okay maybe McAuliffe said it, then Rather said it in parrot-like behavior (his usual)? People here are saying Rather himself said it. I missed the first hour of Rush.

IMO when historians look back they will conclude that the SBVT expose is what prompted the rats to perpetrate this fraud.

This is something that they believe with all their heart is true. That makes it okay to help bring the "truth" to light. It is "wrong" to not bring the "truth" to light just because of the random chance that there is no documentation of the "truth". Therefore one must help the "truth". There is no ethical or moral dilemna involved with helping the "truth".

Excellent. You should send it to The Weekly Standard so they run it on their parody page.

Remember Rather was the one who said "You can lie and still be an honest person." Rather thinks that he is operating for the greater good (as he sees it), therefore, He can say and do anything.

This BS lie has been on the Rat's blog sites for months.

This handled by C BS the way the NY Slimes handled the big blog lie re Plame/Wilson. After months of blogging, the NY Slimes took the blogs and tried to spin them into reality.

When the 9/11 report came out, we saw that Wilson and his blogging butt buddies had been lying for months. The old gray whore, the NY Slimes tried to present those lying blogs as reality.

The same thing happened here with C BS and this bs.

IBM introduced proprotional spacing for typewriters in 1941. It was a facility on "Executive" Model typewriters. The "superscript st" may or may not have been available as an option.

But, the vertical spacing of the lines doesn't match - details of the font don't match - perfect centering of the header would be so difficult as to be unlikely - there are no typos in the document - the facts in the document are not in harmony with th times (Staudt was retired before 18 Aug 73) -- etc. etc. etc.

---I said earlier, the DNC, the Kerry campaign, and CBS are involved in a criminal conspiracy to defraud the American people. People need to go to jail for this stuff. They have no ethics. They are criminals.

The DemocRATS said they will do ANYTHING to get President Bush out of office. And this is just one of their dirty deeds.---

I remember one of them actually saying that the only important thing was winning. Then I heard McAwful saying that the forgeries were not important. These people have no ethics. They are criminals. The way to fix this is put them in jail.

To quote Cicero:

---Shame on the age and on its principles! The senate is aware of these things; the consul sees them; and yet this man lives. Lives! aye, he comes even into the senate. He takes a part in the public deliberations; he is watching and marking down and checking off for slaughter every individual among us. And we, gallant men that we are, think that we are doing our duty to the republic if we keep out of the way of his frenzied attacks.---

To repeat:

---And we, gallant men that we are, think that we are doing our duty to the republic if we keep out of the way of his frenzied attacks.---

WOW When did McCLEELAN grow a backbone?!?!?

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/09/20040910-1.html

Q Scott, on the National Guard documents, do you have any suspicions about their authenticity?

MR. McCLELLAN: We don't know whether the documents were fabricated or are authentic. You know, the media has talked to independent experts who have raised questions about the documents. CBS has not disclosed where the documents came from. But, regardless, it does not -- the documents do not change the facts. The President met his obligations and was honorably discharged. And the one thing that is clear is the timing and the coordination going on here. There is an orchestrated effort by Democrats and the Kerry campaign to tear down the President because of the direction the polls are moving. And it's not surprising that we're seeing the same old recycled attacks. The Democrats are determined to throw the kitchen sink at us, and I suspect this is just the beginning.

Q When you use the word "coordination," it seems to suggest in a legal sense that the Kerry campaign is illegally coordinating with the 527 --

MR. McCLELLAN: It's clear. I mean, look at the media reports, they've documented the coordinated efforts by Democrats to tear down the President here, because they're falling behind in the polls. You look at the -- The Washington Post had a story about it today, talking about the multi-front effort by the Democratic National Committee, other Democrats. You have outrageous comments being made by Senator Harkin. You have the Democratic National Committee using the term "Operation Fortunate Son." "Fortunate Son" was the name of a book by an ex-convict that was widely discredited in the 2000 campaign.

Q But what I'm saying is, you're essentially accusing Mr. Kerry of violating McCain-Feingold, it sounds like.

MR. McCLELLAN: What I'm saying is that the Democrats are seeing the direction the polls are moving and they are now -- and they are determined to tear down the President, they are determined to throw the kitchen sink at us.

We're focused -- the President is focused on his agenda for the future and where he wants to lead this country. The Democrats are focused on tearing down the President with the same old recycled attacks, because they're falling behind.
