¨the Kerry camp cannot be this stupid.¨

These are the same people who posed Kerry in the bunny suit and then accused NASA of leaking the pictures.

I hasten to recall Susan Estrich's meltdown...

omg! When I hear her voice or see her come on Fox, I immediately turn on the Weather Channel. I can't stand her. Period.

Her voice alone makes me want to rip my ears off!

one ramification might be watergate style hearings gavelled to order in a new congress with a 10-20% pickup for the repubs next year.

I think, the Kerry camp cannot be this stupid.

It doesn't require the entire Kerry camp, you only need a few screw-ups to peddle the fake docs.

What if....hmmmm,

What if it's Kerry himself orchestrating all this weird stuff?

Hmmmmmm

Okay, a couple of scenarios. The Midnight Pep Rally. Candidate K paces the floor and listens to the President's speech at the Republican convention. Suddenly he picks up the phone, presses speed dial to the Times, Newsweek, CNN..."I'm mad," he says to the special person appointed to take his calls. "And I'm holding a press conference at midnight. It'll be good. Send someone out."

Candidate K then notifies his staff to gear up with some people for his impromptu rally. "YOU DID WHAT?" they shout.

The staff gets busy finding people, arrangiing microphones. The boss has already notified the big media. There's no way not to go ahead with it. Candidate K has cultivated quite a collection of back room media folk. If he cancels he'd never get any action again, probably not even a call back.

Candidate K is a little bit kooky. He knows his own self better than anyone, after all. So he listens politely to all of the suggestions from paid and well-meaning advisors. Candidate K has always known he would ascend to the presidency. The rest of the people shouting advice to him, they do not understand his providence. And how his inner wisdom springs from that providence.

Thus it was small matter to pull out that old Bush documentation from Killian. The campaign got this info from the FOIA early on but they shoved it aside when they realized its small value. Candidate K quickly makes the needed alterations then phones up Rather at CBS.

"I swear, Terry, no one, and I mean NO ONE, on this campaign staff gave that stuff to CBS." The staffer bites on his white knuckles, still shocked that the documents given to CBS, documents Kerry assured them were genuine, even flashing them by quickly, were forged. McAuliffe of the DNC was awful mad. More staff heads rolling. IT was time to whisper the possibility.

"Terry," the staffer whispers, "I know this will make you mad but I figure my head's on the block anyway. But we think John himself is doing all of this."

The staffer listens to McAuliffe's rage and demand to NEVER repeat such a thing to ANYONE. "We're fried of any inkling of this ever gets out," McAuliffe screamed. After threatening to kill the staffer's first born McAuliffe rings off.

Carville, McAuliffe and Ickes were patched through to a confidential conference call.

"We got a rogue, maybe even crazy, candidate," Carville fairly spat over the phone lines.

"We can't call the media and tell them to ignore anything coming from Candidate K. Hell, then they'd make THAT the story," Ickes said.

McAuliffe sighed. "We've got to back him up," he said, finally. Terry could hear the sighs of the others over the wires. "I think I can handle CBS," Ickes volunteers.

"He'll never stop talking about Vietnam," McAuliffe says, as much to himself as to the others on the line.

"He's obsessed," Carville agrees.

Ickes led the prayer that the Democrats could get through this election with the party still intact and ready for Hillary in 08. If it did, Ickes made a mental promise to personally tear off Ted Kennedy's head and shit down his neck for foisting that little puppet upon them.

"Oh, please. Like a bunch of amateurs on the Internet would be able to figure out something that CBS News stuck its neck out over and never thought to investigate. Riiight."

LMAO......that's right, Sparky. From your drooling mouth to the Federal Prosecutor's ear.

So what happens if Kerry decides that he can't continue because 'his cancer returns' or some other problem. The Democrats may be stuck with him, but is he stuck with them?

Obviously Dan Rather has usurped control of CBS. Leslie Moonves is probably in intensive care somewhere after this, and Rather has pulled a Weinberger-esque "I'm in control here."

I can't imagine any of the superegoes at CBS would allow this jamoke to sink the entire news operation. I would lay odds that Dan Rather will resign his position at CBS without revealing his source... There will be considerable internal pressure to do so if the network wants to save face now...

Dan's no Yankee--he's from Texas. That's one *sshole you can't blame on us...

True enough, but he's from Austin. Real Texans wrote that place off decades ago; we're even thinking of building a wall around the place, to prevent the inmates from escaping.

CBS and Rather know it wasn't Rove. That's why they are standing by it. They know where this originated, and they know it wasn't from Republicans. If they believed the right was giving them false information, that would have been the story.

If they were forgeries... someone other than a dumbass freeper would have figured that out by now. Jesus, we are in the 21st century we don't need some goofy ass freeper to figure out if something is real or not. There are professionals out there that are very good at these things.."

lol.... DUer's really are dumb. Presumably they rely on "professionals" to tell them what to think on every subject. Not to knock Buckheads original observation, but once he pointed out the evidence, it became pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain that these were forgeries. To this guy such simple evidence might as well be rocket science apparently.

A little over a month ago, my brother & I were discussing Bin Laden and 9/11. I said that the 9/11 operation was the dumbest thing they could have done & couldn't understand why they did it. He said that they believed that they would get away with it. Certainly history did not tell them anything different. Looks like the media has a similar situation here. They do not expect to be called on their lying.

good hook: "It's the end of Democratic Party as we know it.
And I feel fine."

let's do some versing on this riff ...

It's the end of the left as we know it,
It's the end of CBS as we know it,
It's the end of the Dems as we know it,

And I feel fine .... I feel fine.

Daisy cutter Taliban, Tora Bora, JDAM'ed
Joe Wilson, yellow-cake, Richard Clarke's heads-up faked,
osama praising Murray's take, judge-spiking memogate,
Burger's pants, loving France, give Saddam another chance,
occupiers, torture claims, terrorists with bombs on trains,
hans blix, WMDs, sarin gas in IEDs,
no child left behind, NEA ship runs aground,
Enron, WorldCom, corporate fix ups, dot bombs,
RIAA, LimeWire, Paris hilton, man on fire,
NARAL, stonewall, DNC AWOL,
micheal moore's farhenheit, reagan passes, twilight,
kerry's song, wrong, wrong, vietnam, dukakis gone,
flip-flopping, on Iraq, swift vets on attack,
CBS, forgeries, blogosphere's the new breeze,

It's the end of the left as we know it,
It's the end of CBS as we know it,
It's the end of the Dems as we know it,

And I feel fine .... I feel fine.

she won't be taking Kerry's slot in 2004, she would lose anyway. She can just as well declare herself the savior for 2008 in an open seat race.

I obtained the following from a leftist site I spy in on. Comments?

"the IBM Selectric, introduced in 1961, could do all these things and more, making a letter look as if it were professionally typeset. And IBM typewriters could do proportional spacing as early as 1954."
