I think, the Kerry camp cannot be this stupid.

It doesn't require the entire Kerry camp, you only need a few screw-ups to peddle the fake docs.

What if....hmmmm,

What if it's Kerry himself orchestrating all this weird stuff?

Hmmmmmm

Okay, a couple of scenarios. The Midnight Pep Rally. Candidate K paces the floor and listens to the President's speech at the Republican convention. Suddenly he picks up the phone, presses speed dial to the Times, Newsweek, CNN..."I'm mad," he says to the special person appointed to take his calls. "And I'm holding a press conference at midnight. It'll be good. Send someone out."

Candidate K then notifies his staff to gear up with some people for his impromptu rally. "YOU DID WHAT?" they shout.

The staff gets busy finding people, arrangiing microphones. The boss has already notified the big media. There's no way not to go ahead with it. Candidate K has cultivated quite a collection of back room media folk. If he cancels he'd never get any action again, probably not even a call back.

Candidate K is a little bit kooky. He knows his own self better than anyone, after all. So he listens politely to all of the suggestions from paid and well-meaning advisors. Candidate K has always known he would ascend to the presidency. The rest of the people shouting advice to him, they do not understand his providence. And how his inner wisdom springs from that providence.

Thus it was small matter to pull out that old Bush documentation from Killian. The campaign got this info from the FOIA early on but they shoved it aside when they realized its small value. Candidate K quickly makes the needed alterations then phones up Rather at CBS.

"I swear, Terry, no one, and I mean NO ONE, on this campaign staff gave that stuff to CBS." The staffer bites on his white knuckles, still shocked that the documents given to CBS, documents Kerry assured them were genuine, even flashing them by quickly, were forged. McAuliffe of the DNC was awful mad. More staff heads rolling. IT was time to whisper the possibility.

"Terry," the staffer whispers, "I know this will make you mad but I figure my head's on the block anyway. But we think John himself is doing all of this."

The staffer listens to McAuliffe's rage and demand to NEVER repeat such a thing to ANYONE. "We're fried of any inkling of this ever gets out," McAuliffe screamed. After threatening to kill the staffer's first born McAuliffe rings off.

Carville, McAuliffe and Ickes were patched through to a confidential conference call.

"We got a rogue, maybe even crazy, candidate," Carville fairly spat over the phone lines.

"We can't call the media and tell them to ignore anything coming from Candidate K. Hell, then they'd make THAT the story," Ickes said.

McAuliffe sighed. "We've got to back him up," he said, finally. Terry could hear the sighs of the others over the wires. "I think I can handle CBS," Ickes volunteers.

"He'll never stop talking about Vietnam," McAuliffe says, as much to himself as to the others on the line.

"He's obsessed," Carville agrees.

Ickes led the prayer that the Democrats could get through this election with the party still intact and ready for Hillary in 08. If it did, Ickes made a mental promise to personally tear off Ted Kennedy's head and shit down his neck for foisting that little puppet upon them.

Excellent. You should send it to The Weekly Standard so they run it on their parody page.

You are absolutely right - "candidate K" has been giving subliminal signals from the beginning that HE DOESN'T WANT TO WIN. It doesn't take a PhD in psychology to realize this.
Also, there had to be a plan B to retreat once someone gets too interested in Terroreeza and WHO MURDERED SENATOR HEINZ AND WHY HIS PAPERS HAVE BEEN SEALED TO THIS DAY.
